My cousin's visiting with his Wii and it's distracting me from the internet. A few things I need to post about:

[livejournal.com profile] nentari, thank you SO MUCH for the book & the card! It's awesome, I can't wait to read it.

There's still one favourite character that nobody's guessed, from 'The Middleman', so I'm not posting the rest of the answers yet.

Regarding the above clip - how did I not know about phenomenon? Fabulosity at its best. I would like to point out that I like Single Ladies but pretty much despise If I Were a Boy, which is sexist, nar

I've been cleaning. I have a lot of crap. I took most of my posters down because my room still looked like a teenage girl's room and I'm trying to move into an adult living space...with FRAMED posters! I could do with more photo frames that go on the walls, too.

Question for people who design their space brilliantly a la [livejournal.com profile] indilime: how does one put up a huge poster properly? Like, do you mount it, or frame it, or what?

I saw the 'Milk' trailer tonight at the movies. I want to see that movie yesterday.

There's this ad on Facebook that's like 'meet singles in your area!' with a picture of a random guy. I'm pretty sure that I've seen both James Franco and Van Hansis in there. Which, a) not in my area at all and b) what are they trying to tell me?!

Okay, link fans, here's your fix.

New HBP images of Weasley's Wizard Wheezes and Slughorn (the WWW picture is the first thing I've liked about HBP in a long time.)

Cool new 'Lost' promo.

'Dr. Horrible' on AFI's 'Moments of Significance' list and a viral web videos of 2008 list which completely dismisses what it really is, basically.

This'll be one of my last posts before Christmas, because I'm leaving for Sydney pretty much straight after work tomorrow and my internet access is limited when I'm away. I'll try to do a Christmas post, though!

Harris Eager For Horrible 2, Dollhouse. Fans eager for more Neil Patrick Harris.

TV.com Top Ten: Most anticipated of early 2009. Dollhouse should be #1.

Kristin Chenoweth already has a job lined up for after 'Pushing Daisies', like someone as awesome as her could be unemployed for long. Knowing that 'Pushing Daisies' is ending prematurely still makes my heart hurt.

New Lost sneak peek!

Private Practice preview clip that - get this - actually features Chris Lowell. Like's he's a regular cast member or something. OH WAIT.

New 'Wolverine' trailer with...wait...yes, I see Dom! He's in the group shot! HIS ROLE DOES EXIST! On a side note, both Liev Schrieber and Taylor Kitsch look kinda awesome in this.

Joss blogs about the Doc Horrible DVD. I kind of love that it will make no sense to anyone who a) hasn't seen Dr. Horrible already and b) is not used to Jossisms.

Two new brief but excellent promos.

Dr. Horrible makes the cover of Time Magazine! No, it does. Squint. It's on the left, under the heading 'Top 10 TV Series'.

Mark Sheppard talks Tanaka - which is the name of his role on Dollhouse. Iiiinteresting.

The LA Times discusses ways of turning 'Beedle the Bard' into a movie. Uh, no thanks.

Dan, Rupert and Tom Felton recorded some stuff for the ride, which I am more than likely going to go on, in spite of the fact that I am wary.

Kenneth Branagh is directing Thor.

Will Kevin Bacon Join Zac Efron in 'Footloose' Remake? 'Never Say Never,' Says Actor. I am excited for this. I admit it.

New 'Dollhouse' picture and quote from Joss.

I spent a while today reading the comment thread at Whedonesque about Prop 8: The Musical. I am so stealing some of the reasoning in those threads for future reference.

NPH and Nathan Fillion "maintain their commitment to comedy through web-based musical ventures." I totally stole that quote from Whedonesque, and I'm not sorry.

Five things in Hollywood that Christian Kane would steal.

Hilarious fan-made movie poster anagrams.

8 Best Picture Oscar favourites this year. I want to see nearly all of them.

Why are there no openly gay leading men in Hollywood? Because nobody appreciates Neil Patrick Harris! This line, though:
This leads to a dynamic in which heterosexual actors such as Penn or Tom Hanks (in "Philadelphia") have no problems being believed as gay men—or murderers or mentally challenged characters—yet there's much doubt that an openly gay actor could be convincing carrying a romance with the opposite sex.
Yes. Good comparison, there. I'm sure that's really helping.

List of upcoming sci-fi sequels/remakes. I would really enjoy a Logan's Run remake, I think.

Joss speaks!

*dies laughing* Twilight fan loses her shit when faced with RPattz, Taylor Lautner, and the Vampire Volvo of Justice. Also, they are now asking Daniel Radcliffe about Twilight, which I think is kinda nuts. He's Harry freakin' Potter! With an ugly beard...

Happy birthday, Melissa Tancheroen!

Pretty much all my e-mail notifications from the last week-ish just hit my ibnox at once. Nice one, LiveJournal.

Apparently, the 'Dark Knight' score is ineligible to win an Oscar because too many people worked on it. This is like how the Coen brothers always put just one name as director. It's ridiculous. Filmmaking is collaborative!

There's a bunch of ADORABLE behind-the-scenes Battlestar Galactica shots on Trucco's webpage that warrant a visit.

Brilliant RPattz quote as quoted here by [livejournal.com profile] grrliz:
I had a stalker while filming a movie in Spain last year. She stood outside of my apartment every day for weeks — all day, every day. I was so bored and lonely that I went out and had dinner with her. I just complained about everything in my life and she never came back. People get bored of me in, like, two minutes.

LMAO. I can't understand how ANYONE can get bored with him. He's hilarious! Also, this, and two clips from 'Little Ashes'. THE FIRST ONE!

Happy birthday [livejournal.com profile] dekolette! My LiveJournal world would be a much sadder place without you.

So today, the highligh of my day was going to the fete at the school where I work at the after-school program. It was lots of fun, which was cut short because I had to go pick my sister up from work.

Ahh! No! Put it back the way it was! Nobody's looking at my userinfo to see how many comments I've made or how many tags I have, including me. Eurgh.

Okay, I had this post made up, but it can basically be summed up by the fact that Bryan Fuller might return to 'Heroes' because 'Pushing Daisies' might be cancelled, 'The Middleman' might be cancelled, 'Dollhouse' has been dumped on the death time slot of Friday nights at 9 pm, and Nathan Fillion's new show 'Castle' has had its order of episodes reduced. So, everything sucks.

My favourite icon maker, [livejournal.com profile] mouthfullofdust, made a completely gorgeous 'Lazarus Rising' picspam. This show is SO PRETTY.

Something else that is awesome: Dress Like Javi Day! Oh Middleman, please be renewed.

Video of Dom on the Criss Angel red carpet. Christina Hendricks, too. I love it when he starts in on the religiousness of the States. Is it wrong that that totally does it for me? Although, Halloween, not about worshipping the devil.

Ugh, ugh, ugh: ABC fires Brooke Smith, more likely than not out of fear of the lesbian relationship. UGH. Assholes.

Seth Green Spills All About His Directorial Debut, "The Freshmen". I AM EXCITED. Caps-lock level excited! I forgot he was going to be on Heroes, actually. I should catch up instead of downloading the episodes, skimming through them, and then ignoring them. Oh, and how ironic is it that Seth tests badly when Oz never went to school and tested ridiculously well? Just an observation. Why don't I have an Oz icon?

And more Jossverse actor news: Christian Kane talks 'Leverage' and, in an upcoming interview, will discuss his music career and - what? - lingerie line.

Finally, the man himself: Joss interview, Joss and family (and Felicia!) at a Dr. Horrible Halloween screening. I can pretty much count Nathan Fillion as a Whedon now, right? I understood almost nothing in that video, except something about a ninja in-joke.

I am most likely an enormous geek for linking this, but Stephen Fry blogs about language.

Two bromance articles, appropriate considering the movie I saw yesterday: Television's hottest 'bromances' and 30 Burning Sci-Fi Bromances. One thing
Nightclub singer Willie Scott may have a handle on the good doc’s gonads, but it’s the plucky Shortie who captures his heart by uttering such nuggets of wisdom as “Hey, Dr. Jones, no time for love. We’ve got company”—albeit in an almost-parodic Chinese accent.
Uh, Vietnamese, actually. Because Ke is Vietnamese. And that was just how he talked. Also, the Lost entry is inaccurate.

Fox8 now has the Australian rights to Dollhouse instead of Ten, which means it will not be free-to-air. This SUCKS. ENORMOUSLY. Not just for me, but for the show, because cable is not very popular here and the show will never get much momentum over here if it's not free-to-air. SUCKS. NOT HAPPY.
