The Golden Globes didn't air here, at least not on free TV. I am so pissed off. I don't even know half the winners yet. Yay, 'Slumdog Millionaire'! I didn't care that much about many of the TV noms.

I don't get Chuck's outfits. I've never been a fashionista, and sometimes I think she looks fine, but sometimes I think she looks stupid.

Also, I think going 'darker and more real!' for sequels to big movies is safe, lazy and boring. I know it's fashionable, but I'm sick of it. More adult and complex doesn't have to mean THERE IS NO HOPE IN THE WORLD!

I didn't post yesterday because I've been watching 'The West Wing' non stop since Saturday and now I've finished season 1, can't find anyone who has season 2, and I desperately need to know what happens...so I'm downloading. Hopefully I'll find someone with the DVDs soon.

Jensen on Jimmy Kimmel, Bonnie Hunt (my new and temporary favourite since she gave Chris his first interview), and Chelsea Lately, whom I do not like.

New Dollhouse promos.

Actors who get fandom. See, I thought this would be more about the actors who understand and are nice to fans, not who are fans of what they do themselves but, you know, may not necessarily be so nice to fans. Okay, I'm bitter about them singling out Dom because he doesn't read LotR and then praising Kristen Bell when I've heard she's not so nice to fans.

Dan Radcliffe on 'book purists vs. fans of the film.' I disagree, mostly because I'm neither - my favourite of the movies changed a lot from the books. Arguably, PoA changed the most without changing the basic fabric of the story. It was just a better MOVIE than the others.

Gorgeous icons, especially the Lorne one.

I was so so so happy about Slumdog Millionaire <3

I don't get some of Chuck's outfits either. I mostly love them but sometimes they just confuse me.

That's the one thing that still bothers me about The Dark Knight. If there's no hope left AT ALL, you don't really know how to keep rooting for anyone to do anything.

I love most of the choices for the actors in fandom thing, but I thought KB was a weird choice, too, and the quote they had of her kind of underlined that.

Me too! I hope this bodes well for the Oscars, and that they don't punk out like they did with Brokeback Mountain. Not that they would, since Slumdog isn't that contraversial, but still.

I'm glad I'm not the only one.

AUGH YES, thank you. This was my main quibble with Dark Knight, that by the end I didn't even care if the Joker killed the son of my favourite character because I was so thoroughly jaded by the whole affair.

I took that to mean that Dom is one of the ones who does read LotR every year. Not all of the actors do, and really, with as busy as he is in his everyday, it would be difficult to read it every.single.year. And how does that not make him a fan? It's been listed as one of his favourite books forever now.

Hmmm...sometimes I don't think these writers do their research. The important thing is we know who is cool about fandom and their own fandoms and to heck with the others who don't get it, right? :)

That is just a way too odd mention of Dom in that article. At least Dom has read LOTR unlike his fellow hobbits. A very strange little poke at him indeed.

Golden Globes: the important part.

Paul Giamatti won best teevee actor something something, and then macked on Terrence Howard in the press room. :D
