*pouts* I have Feelings and the internet's all radio silence today.

Team Starkid won an award for Starship!! SO COOL.

Uh...[livejournal.com profile] entwashian posted a bunch of links that I wanted to link you guys to. So go visit her. Yeah.

These are in hi-res under the tag in my scrapbook.

Audio downloads, although a couple of mine are better. They'll be in the master post...uh, eventually.

The tag.

Fabulous video masterpost, which I trolled for the best audio. Yes, that will also eventually be posted. My personal favourite videos of the night are Part of Your World, Skin and Bones, and New Morning (I could listen to all the versions of New Morning forever I swear) but this is...well, it is what it is:

Poor bb.

Today I saw Elf

Eh. It's hard to get past the ridiculousness of this movie, particularly at the end, but the first half is pretty cute. There's some great, hilarious, whimsical stuff (Arctic puffin & narwhal! I forgot to give you a hug! SAAANTAAAA! Peter Dinklage! , and Buddy's overwhelming optimism is infectious. I just sort of feel like it all falls apart towards the end. Also, Mary Steenburgen is gorgeous and wasted these days.

Tonight I saw Melancholia

Or: Miserable people pondering the apocalypse pose prettily in a pretentious art film. Never have I wanted the world to end more. I hated pretty much everybody in this except Charlotte Gainsbourg and the kid. Like, Kirsten Dunst's character does some awful things but she's clearly struggling with depression and everybody's either unsympathetic or just...shrugs their shoulders and gives up on trying to deal with it. The whole family's crazy in some way. Kiefer Sutherland is a dick. The camera is handheld and infuriating unless there's a shot that is just one slow-mo-to-the-point-of-ridicule shot. These people just aren't interesting.

Also, if you want to be a still visual artist, go paint or do photography or something. I feel like movies should, you know, move.

What I learned from this movie: Kirsten Dunst has great boobs.

Green Queen

Darren is just so freakin animated! Gheeeze, the guy must be wringing in sweat after each performance. I dearly hope I get to see him in concert someday.

A combination of genetics, Christmas magic, ritual goat sacrifices, and robotics.

Okay, is he like doing concerts EVERY DAY? How does he have any vocal cords left?!

That is the MOST ADORABLE picture of Amber Riley.

He hasn't beaten his record of London's four in two days yet, but yeah, he did two in one day earlier this month and then Sing Out and Joe's Pub were one day after the other.

SHE LOOKED SO BEAUTIFUL IN THAT EPISODE. I've been mad at Mercedes lately but my gods, Amber was incredible in the Christmas episode. She's looking seriously flawless these days.

I just. I can't. I CAN'T with him. He is so. Damn. Perfect.

I just want to cuddle him to sleep and kiss his eyelids. ;~;
