A heads-up for everybody: I had my first prac day in a school today (just observing) (and it was awesome, fyi) and pretty soon I am going to have to make this whole journal friends-only. I don't know what I'm going to do about my picspams etc. - maybe make another journal? - but this one's going to have to be private. I'm going to give people an option to stay or go or be added back or whatever pretty soon. I'm not even sure how many of the people watching actually read every post anyway, so maybe this won't affect many people at all.

My first day at a school was the first time in this uni experience thus far that I finally felt totally confident and comfortable and un-freaked-out. And I was in classes with some of the lower-level kids, with a fair few behavioural issues, so I am feeling a hell of a lot better about this teaching gig now. It turns out I might not totally suck! Of course, once I get to actually teaching we'll find out whether my newfound confidence is well placed, but still, this was a good day.

Ugh, had a sick day today. I went to work, but I was totally wiped. Got a cold and an earache, and my whole body felt heavy.

I've been thinking about this lately, so it's good to know that the kids are probably getting aged up via prosthetics for the epilogue. I hated the adult actors at the end of Narnia. FULL REVIEW of the Dollhouse pilot. Massive spoilers, one would assume. I won't read it, though, because Dollhouse is still months away and I don't want to ruin it for myself this far ahead of time so that by the time I see it, it will be stale.

Oh, hey, so, check out what outoftime found that I didn't know about because I stopped watching Gilmore Girls before Luke and Lorelai broke up and destroyed my sould: Rory left to go on the campaign trailer with Barack Obama. CRAZY. As for Barack news, here's what's REALLY important. The Entertainment Weekly interview, natch. nentari! M*A*S*H!

Meanwhile, just to remind everybody that not everything went right on the fourth, Changed America Still Hates the Gays. I didn't think Proposition 8 wouldn't go through, but it's still a huge disappointment, and one that hits close to home with all the work I did earlier this year here in the ACT that ended up getting destroyed.

New clip from Milk, which is now more relevant than ever. I cannot WAIT to see this one.

Okay, the recent Grey's news has brought out the ugliness again and I feel I have to retaliate. Brooke Smith's character may have been horrible, her character arc may have been crap, she and the stunning Ms. Ramirez may have had all the chemistry of a wet rag. I don't care. They fired her to get rid of the lesbian arc, which makes it WRONG. If they were committed to equality, they would have either let her character have a natural arc that ended organically (not orgasmically) and they would keep Callie's options open.

On a lighter note - Robert Pattinson: wants to be Bella, is still hilarious.
