My dog has fleas and I have been bitten :( we have to clean...um, everything we own.

You know what? I feel that if you are going to be paid to run a professional workshop, the least you can do is to run all the hand-outs that you didn't just photocopy from a textbook through a spell and grammar check on the computer. You should also get someone to proof-read it. I'm happy to volunteer. I hate the lack of proper grammar and spelling that exists in society these days. It's lazy, and it's frustrating to someone who is as verbal as I am, and it is NOT the evolution of language, it is the BASTARDISATION of language.

Pretty much all my e-mail notifications from the last week-ish just hit my ibnox at once. Nice one, LiveJournal.

Apparently, the 'Dark Knight' score is ineligible to win an Oscar because too many people worked on it. This is like how the Coen brothers always put just one name as director. It's ridiculous. Filmmaking is collaborative!

Okay, so my week is severely craptacular. Today I got up early to take the car to the garage, which was all fine but significantly more expensive than we had anticipated thanks to them having to replace the brakes (or something to do with the brakes, I'm not good with cars.) I walked down to pick it up and drove off to get Luke only to discover halfway there that the brakes were not working at all the way they should and I had to push the pedal all the way in to stop. I actually had to take the car back to the garage, which is thankfully only a few minutes away from after school care, so they drove Luke and me down there and took the car back to fix the breaks, which they hadn't aligned properly or some such.

Oh, also, I don't know how but just recently a huge number of viruses and spyware programs made their way onto my computer, so I had to download a bunch of programs to try to get rid of them that aren't being terribly effective.

I am applying for jobs with the government that I don't particularly want, so that my father (who I don't want to see) can go over my applications (a bunch of short-answer questions). I should just tell him I don't want to do it, but I do really need a job, and I'm finding it hard to get out of since school and work are pretty much the only things he can think of to talk to my sister or myself about. Ever.

My sister's back home, sick and cranky but better than a few days ago. She's mostly sleeping a lot.

Okay, I saw this Rick Perry thing on maubast's journal, and it made me laugh as much as it horrified me...basically, the concept that 'if homosexuality isn't about sex, call it something else.'

There's some LOL-worthy wank going on in the MCR world, with an old publisher of Gerard's claiming false advertising and plagiarism with absolutely no proof. At all. Bitter much?
Also, Gerard Way is giving a lecture in New York on Thursday, not really a sentence I thought I'd ever say. Guess what I'm doing Thursday? HAIRSRPAY SING-ALONG!!!!
