Something that made me LOL today: Dr. Horrible keyring causes fans to blame Joss for lack of creativity. Do they honestly think he has anything to do with them? Like he doesn't have a show to run, a family to care for, comics to write, a movie to direct, he's got time to oversee the creative process that goes into every new piece of merchandise as well? REALLY?

The box that provides our TV and internet died last night, which meant we had to watch So You Think You Can Dance with terrible reception and I had no internet until tonight. I miss one day and my flist goes apeshit. Also, I had the best all-natural corn chips in the world tonight, and since my life is deathly boring that seemed worth mentioning.

I can't believe how badly I want Pushing Daisies to come back on. It's crept up on me. I've become addicted to way too many shows. If The Middleman is cancelled I will be crushed.

Joss Whedon's 'Dollhouse' Shuts Down Production! ...for two weeks, to get the scripts up to scratch. My guess is that something that looked great on the page wasn't translating well on screen, and because of Firefly everyone's got their finger on the panic button, although this article that says Fox has concerns is...concerning. By the way, All About Tahmoh and blank_dolls have more pics from the Eco Casino thing.

Zoe is one of the best TV characters of all time according to UGO. I actually thought this was an okay list, which has personal favourite characters from the listmakers AND defining characters that changed the way television was done. Or maybe I'm just stoked that Zoe, Kermit and MacGyver all made it.

Vote in the EWwy awards! Go vote for all the awesome shows and talented people that the Emmys are too snobby to appreciate. There's a lot of terrible options (MATTHEW FOX) but Mary McDonnell and Jensen Ackles are both in there, so get voting.

Maurice Sendak, author of 'Where the Wild Things Are', comes out. I've just been reading that with a girl I look after. It's an awesome book, one of my favourite children's stories.

HOW does Desperate Housewives reel in the hot guys from our shows? It's so...crap. Gale Harold is the guy in question, and no, he hasn't aged a day since the Queer as Folk finale and yes, he still has 90's boy-band hair. But he OWNS it.

HOW AWESOME WAS THE MIDDLEMAN FINALE? SO awesome. This show NEEDS to be renewed, and all of you people who SHOULD be watching it and aren't, GO WATCH IT, FOOLS. It has hot boys and kick-ass girls and pop culture references and it's fun. Here is the address for you to send M&Ms and postcards to!

Which fictional characters do you wish were real? It's literary but my first thought was still PIZ. Literary-wise, Sirius Black, definitely.

Why do people have a problem with this season of Battlestar Galactica? I've liked it so far. Also, I'm sick of fans blasting one show just because some article or other has put it in opposition with another show, often one it has nothing to do with. It's not a competition, people.

THE MOVIE QUIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIZ (which I totally failed.)

Okay, so my weekend sucked, and I haven't seen any of my friends in days and that sucks, but tonight picked up a bit with the new TV. I applied for a job that I may actually LIKE and that is vaguely related to what I want to get into...but it's part time, only 2 days a week. *sigh* this job hunt thing is kind of demoralising.

I was watching So You Think You Can Dance and there was a cover of 'Get This Party Started' by Shirley Bassey, which I thought was pretty much the best thing ever. Does anyone have it? Also, does anyone have Bobby Flynn's new CD?

ACT wants end to gay marriage stand-off - an actually decent article about our rally and the purpose it served in the current climate.
This is what shits me:
The problem with the bill the ACT was working on is it mimics marriage in some ways, and ... we are committed to marriage remaining between a man and a woman
Why?!?! There is no rational, logical argument that has been made to me as to why marriage has to be between a man and a woman. The Christian lobby said that heterosexual marriages were 'proven to be the best environment for raising children and building a civil society'. By whom, exactly? We haven't tried giving gay people equal rights ever, so how can that be proven?

To cheer us up, how about a slashy screentest between Paul Newman and James Dean, because it doesn't get much more guh than that. On the topic of gay before I move away, the Australian 'So You Think You Can Dance' is fah-bulous in every sense, especially with Rhys there. Those boys are kissing and hugging like there's no tomorrow, and there's that Lucas Grabeel-like judge, and I love it.

I woke up with a cold and was Not Impressed, but I still went to a meeting for the aforementioned civil unions rally to help make posters and paint banners, and then hung out with Mitchell, Jamie and TomGilligan, who have forced me to star playing World of Warcraft. It's ok, but I doubt it's something I'll get heavily into. Also, it's been raining and I love my new Peter Alexander robe.

Today was fun but exhausting. I had breakfast with Colin & Cath visiting from Sydney at 10 (I had to wake up at 9 after only 6 hours sleep! It's hard when you're out of the habit) and then I went Christmas shopping with various permutations and combinations of Clare, Melissa and Jamie until 4 pm. I am not a shopper. Shopping is one of my LEAST favourite things to do, and guess what? More tomorrow! Anyway, I went and chillaxed at Jamie's for an hour before coming homr, walking the dog and going to the work Christmas party for a little over an hour with Mitchell. I then dropped Mitchell off in Civic to meet a boy and danced my behind off to a random Latin music band that was playing live in the city, which was awesome. When I got home Mum and Clare were watching Singin' in the Rain :D:D:D:D

OMG GOLDEN GLOBE NOMINEES! HAAAAAAAAAAAIRPSRAY!!!!!! Nikki Blonsky OMG! I can't wait to see Sweeney Todd, and I want to see quite a few of the other films. The TV nominations mostly left me cold. How they're STILL nominating Katherine Heigl over everybody else for Grey's is baffling to me.

ASF:LJHSDF:KJSDHFLJK Amazon.com bought The Tales of Beedle the Bard. And then took PHOTOS and wrote REVIEWS and just looking at it gives me Pottergasm. And then looking at the comments took it away. *sad*

I was looking for the event a few adorable pictures of Ryan Hansen and Kristen Bell recently posted by kerrsmith2306 were taken at. I couldn't find that even, but while looking I did come across a page of Ryan Hansen pics, most of which I haven't seen and are also ADORABLE. I've been thinking about doing a Veronica Mars boyspam.

For those interested, how Pencils for Media Moguls's dedications shaped up. Clearly the Smallville prizes were good incentive. I dedicated mine to Lost and Joss, of course.
