Okay, I'm going to go through the convention in as much detail as I can muster.

When I first showed up the only person there was Liv, which was moderately scary. Eventually I found [livejournal.com profile] musewhipped, [livejournal.com profile] ritergirl, [livejournal.com profile] phoenix_blythe, [livejournal.com profile] alariagreenleaf and [livejournal.com profile] minyafalas, and we were just hanging around looking at merch for a while - the con started a bit late, and once it started the photograph and autograph sessions took up most of the day. I should also mention that it was really really casual and not particularly well-organised, though that didn't bother me. I had heaps of fun talking to a friend of [livejournal.com profile] musewhipped's for most of the afternoon. I got my autographs but ran out of money before I got to Joel :( still, my one of Mark is nice. Craig was really nice to me when I went to him, asked about my crown (and even remembered I got it in Tokyo after a little encouragement, lol.) I will have more on that part later.

I only got a photo with Mark because I wanted one of him in my crown. Craig had this little green frog with a crown and he held it up next to Mark and said "Can you tell the difference?" then Joel sat it on my shoulder for the picture. I was laughing and the photo came out crap! Still, I got the most important part - Mark in the crown!

Then it got to be about 6ish and the boys disappeared and came back looking very dapper in suits (omgtehsexy.) Craig looked particularly nice. We went in for dinner and there was NO SEAT SAVED FOR ME...again...(not that I'm bitter. No.) I almost got stuck at a crap seat but I managed to move forward, ditching Liv in the process, and ended up at a table of rather loud, occasionally drunk and really nice people who all knew about Sliders, yay! Before dinner there was a series of improvs and songs, I'm sorry but I can't remember all of them. Some stuff about dead cats and sound effects and a song about Tom Jones in Fyshwick. Just crazy stuff. They also had the auction and the raffle, which was rather suspiciously almost entirely won by staff or Latinum ticket holders. *sigh* I never win those things.

I liked dinner, thought it was quite nice really, and we had to write lines of dialogue on paper for a later improv sketch (the best of the evening), while Craig came around to all the tables to boss us around on tearing the paper neatly and not folding it. He's so anal, and he can't spell to save his life. Is it sad that I like him more now? I wrote "Never grab a camel by its left spatula." Then we started a trivia game - my table was Haldir's Harem, so Craig kept giving us extra points. To make it fair, they then ignored us often when we knew the answers first, which annoyed me, because I am deeply and pathetically competitive when it comes to triva contests and have an insanely good memory. We did win, but I think we would have won by more.
The game was interspersed with some more improvs and some of Joel singing (he did Sweet Transvestite with Mark and Craig, which was definitely cool) and the aforementioned dialogue sketch, in which they used our dialogue while running through about half of the story of the first film. Very, very funny. There was also a sketch in which Joel was a Shakespearian nanny. At one point he also played the fairy of the soup. Mark said "Poof! Oh fairy of the soup!" and Joel showed up, ubercamp, and said "Did someone say poof?" HILARIOUS.
Also, SO MUCH HOMOEROTIC subtext. They were playing it up. Not that I'm complaining.
Mark promised our table that the three of them would sign anything we wanted, but then after they all sang Time Warp they disappeared and weren't seen again all night! We kept on dancing, though, and I had a chance to hang out with the girls and didn't leave until after midnight. I gave my photo with Mark and the piece of paper I wrote "Never grab a camel by its left spatula" on to Adele for the boys to sign, and I'm going to go pick them up later this week. Yay!

I am sad that I didn't get any hugs, but it was otherwise a really, really fun evening and I'm really glad I went.
