*sobs* No more Jossverse on Australian TV!
That's right, the Angel finale was tonight. I really, really liked the ending. To me, that's the way a finale should be. We don't want to think they all died, but the possiblity is strong and it's a proper apocalypse, not some mamby-pamby "oooh, we destroyed Sunnydale but mostly we're okay" ending. Okay, so I liked the Buffy final too, but this one left me much more satisfied. I'm a bit unhappy about what they did with Lorne, and poor old Lindsey (why would you kill someone so goddamn sexy? I mean, hello, "I want you Lindsey.") And making him leave like that was kind of off-putting, because he's so much more important than they let him be - although at least he got to sing. I liked everybody going down fighting, and the fact that Harmony betrayed Angel but he wasn't remotely upset. I LOVED seeing a kick-ass, well-adjusted, completely normal Connor who was an important part of the final fight. Illyria's dispatch of the creepy bodily fluids guy was very cool, as was pretty much everything she did. But the absolute best part of the show?
Spike's POETRY!!! Utterly and completely brilliant - Spike ends up with his fighting and his poetry, and everybody loves it. Wonderful stuff.
To watch it I had Ash, Shemane, Phoebe, Misha, Lea, T&N over. Plus Clare and her friend Jess, so it was quite a full house. We had Boggle and Dude Where's My Car earlier (the "Dude!" "Sweet!" and "Dude, they're llamas!" jokes just never get old, the "and then?" joke got old as soon as the movie came out.)

I did love Good!Connor (who is also Hot!Connor!Yay!) And I may have been more sad about Wesley's passing had I not read about it weeks earlier by accident.

I like these Lijah pics. He somehow looks like a vampire in the second and third *lol*

I didn't like Wesley, Gunn or Angel much, but to tell you the truth I haven't cared much about Wesley in years and I've never, ever liked Angel, the whiney git.
I LOVED Season 7 Buffy. I only liked seasons 3 and 6 more. I think I'm alone in my love of season 6 though!

I like season six of Buffy. It's not my favorite season, but it has a lot of stuff that I loved. I mean, there is not a season of Buffy that I don't love, so...But seasons 3, 5 and 7 are definitely my favorites.
