I think I have food poisoning or something.

My stomach is churning something wicked. Isn't life fun sometimes? I actually had a *really* good day up until about half an hour ago, becase brunch this morning with work people was really fun (and good food!) and then the camera rehearsal for Directing went really well this afternoon. Once we arrived we reorganised the room to suit us by turning around a few chairs and turning on some of the lamps, because we decided mood lighting would work best after discovering that the real lights were reflecting off the glass panels of the liquor cabinets behind the bar. We worked out a lovely moving shot using a luggage trolley as the dolly, and did some taping from all the angles we want to get shots at with us as the fill-in "actors" just to test lighting and camera angles and things. It doesn't sound like it but along with deciding on the costumes and some of the sound effects for the next (hotel room) scene, we actually got a *lot* done today.

I didn't get any assignment work done and now I feel sick, as well as stressed and unhappy about some stuff. I just have to keep reminding myself of Brisbane.

Idol was on tonight, of course. Go big Marty Worrall. <3

1. Chanel - Okay, I am hideously biased, because I *love* this song (check out my username if you haven't figured out why.) I think she did a very funky, cool little job that will get her through nicely.

2. Daniel - It's bad that I already can't remember his performance. At least the other one created some fire.

3. Amali - She need to figure out something to do with that hand. She looks lost on a bigger stage with a live audience.

4. Ricki Lee - I really enjoyed this performance, actually, but I'm a bit of a musical lover. I didn't notice her clothes at all.

5. Marty - The same thing happened for me tonight with Marty as last year with Guy. He sang something other people didn't like and I just got so into it (last year I fell for Guy when he sang Everything I Do.) I love Marty, I really do.

6. Casey - This girl astounds me, I would be upset if she didn't get very far but I can't bring myself to vote for her. She seems to be getting through from week to week based solely on each brilliant performance, which I think is pure genius, yet when she's not singing I almost just forget about her. I think if she was just a bit older and with less to prove I'd really, really like her.

7. Angie - I could tell she was sick, she could have done much better if she wasn't. I hope she stays in because she's so lovely.

8. Anthony - I agree with Dicko, he needs to do something that will make me remember him. Seriously, when it got to 8:30 my sister and I were trying to list the contestants left to go and we could *not* remember to include him on the list for about 5 minutes. The most memorable thing about his performances was the stroking of the microphone last week.

9. Emelia - Bye, Emelia, I wish I could say I'll miss you but I really, really won't.

10. Dan - He sounded a bit off too - also sick, maybe? I could see him struggling. He did look good and I liked that he *tried* to be different and get everybody going, I admire the performance.

11. Hayley - She pulled out all the stops tonight! I was really impressed, I enjoyed that performance. I hope she stays in for a while, she's a good Canberra girl and she needs to prove that she deserves her place instead of Ngaiire.

12. Courtney - If Chanel and Marty leave I'll be rooting for Courtney, because I think he's just lovely, with a great voice and a sweet personality.

I want a time-turner!!! Or, y'know, whatever.

Made a ridiculously large batch of Shoebox icons from the Gillyweed, Dumbledore's Halloween Prank and most recent episodes. New colouring for this set of icons, if you hate it feel free to tell me. Please comment, credit, enjoy.

ETA: OMG! I flicked onto "The Brush-Off" tonight while watching Idol, just for a second, and I saw a guy getting into a car, and I thought "Hold on a second, is that Joel?" And then I got distracted, but I remember a few minutes ago and checked IMDb, and it IS Joel!! Made me inordinately happy :D

Not as easy as it seems
