I love candy canes.
THe party mostly went well last night, but unfortunately Tom couldn't come because he was sick :( Not many people did come. We played Boggle (now everybody's going to try to get me drunk before I play, because I lose when I'm drunk) and watched Willy Wonka and Hans Jensen and such. It was cool. I had a lot of Bailey's.
Today I went to afternoon tea with my grandmother's cousin.
I'm supposed to be seeing ASOUE tomorrow night but not with Tom. I'm actually quite annoyed. Now suddenly Tom's not going and everybody else is, including my ex, and they didn't even TELL me about this plan until tonight, and none of them have even read the books.
Next interest. I think I've posted enough about BOBW, so:
BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER
I started watching Buffy during the third episode, "The Witch", here in Australia. I absolutely loved it and managed to watch (I think) 2 seasons before I went to Japan, by which time I was pretty much completely hooked. I spent the next 4 1/2 years on boards such as the Bronze and looking up transcripts and spoilers on the net, reading the show. Finally in my last year there I was actually able to download episodes. I would get tapes sent over from Australia and watch a bunch of episodes in holidays when I visited home. I even had a Buffy webpage for years. I think it was my first real proper fandom - I was a fan of Sliders, but never involved in the fandom.
When Seth Green joined the show my world was complete. I had the biggest crush on him before he even started on Buffy. My favourite seasons are 3 and 6, least favourites are 4 and 5. My favourite episode of all time is still The Zeppo, with Once More With Feeling and The Body being also very high up on my list. I know they're everybody's favourites but that's because they're ground-breaking and *good*.
My favourite characters:

Faith

Spike
I was also very attached to:

Oz

Tara
And I did always love the Scoobies:

Willow and Xander

and Giles, too.
I didn't like Buffy herself until the 6th season, though. I never did get attached to Angel at all.
Joss Whedon is a god. What really stood out above all else on this show was always the writing, and Joss's style always shone through. Truly one of the best pieces of television in history. Also, some of the hottest people in history were on it. Joss definitely knew good...er, talent...when he saw it.
I'm still a regular poster at the Bronze, and here are a few LiveJournal communities you can join:

You are Lost: The Breakfast Club.
Jocks and criminals. Young people and angst.
Barry Manilow's wardrobe.
We are not alone. We're stuck with each other.
Diversity reigns supreme, so let's all try to
get along, shall we?
What Lost Movie Are You?
brought to you by Quizilla
Well, obviously. I was never going to be anything else.
Pics and links of the day are above. Again.
Fists, in fact, OF fury. Not David Fury. Though his fists are formidable. What, no, I'm not sleepy! Hey,
I'm in CHARGE, here!
