(no subject)

I have $50!!!!

For the first time in a long time I actually have $50 that is *not* going towards the conventions. I'm gonna use it to buy a bus ticket, flowers for Mum for Mother's Day (going halvies with Clare and then cooking dinner), and a birthday present for Nina. Hopefully if all goes well I will actually have enough left over to go see Kill Bill 2! It's the simple things.

Today was actually pretty cool barring my French Grammar lesson, which are always and invariably boring. My oral class was okay, my German Cinema class fairly interesting (the director made a novel in movies. I find that cool.) I got to have lunch with Melissa, Nina, Tom and Misha, and we talked about Mark Evans again among other things. And I did some tutoring and got paid backpay, so $40! I didn't get around to starting my French thing due Friday, though, because I spent so long making the Clex wallpaper below for randyfangame that by the time I looked at the clock Merrick & Rosso and The L Word were on TV, so I went to watch them. I still don't really get The L Word, and I had no idea Bette was supposed to be black, so that whole storyline went way over my head for a bit. I dunno whether I'm just biased towards gay men or hotasses or shiny lights, but it still doesn't hold a candle to Queer as Folk.

Last week Merrick and Rosso had a line about Sam being two steps from Mardi Gras and how his marriage to Rosie was a sham, and this week they brought up Harry Potter. Plus they had a swearing motivational doll. I like that show.
