HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to my Mum and all you other wonderful mothers I'm friends with on the internet! Hope you all had/are having/will have a great day.
My day was very mother-centric. Got up early to go pick up the flowers and have coffee in Manuka. I played cards with Clare and watched High Society to keep her busy in the afternoon. It's a good movie but nowhere near as good as Philadelphia Story--Grace Kelly can't pull that role off. However the Frank Sinatra/ Bing Crosby "Did You Ever" number is a wonderful classic. Plus, Louis Armstrong.
I am such a musical nerd.
Anyway, we cooked dinner tonight with Singin in the Rain in the background, which was only half as disastrous as it could have been--we made a complete mess and had terrible trouble making it, but it turned out perfectly. Singapore noodles, too spicy for me but at least Mum liked it.

1. flex sex squeeze ex (Dom/Elijah) -- Well, if you look at the fic, you can see why it's called that. They're words I pulled out of the story make it flow differently. But then I decided it made a cool pattern of words for a title, and now I love it.
2. El Baile del Pepino (Dom/Orli) -- It was one of the only things I knew in Spanish. It means "Dance of the Cucumber" and it's from a song on VeggieTales. It has nothing whatsoever to do with the fic, but it cracks me up.
3. Crutch (JC/Jusin) -- From the song by Matchbox Twenty of the same name, because for the whole of "Mad Season" Rob was obsessed with weakness. It's a theme that comes up over and over again on the album and in the fic.
4. The Laya (Pyro/Iceman) -- It's a concept used in yoga. It's kind of the place where everything collides and out of which everything changes, which I think fit the fic.
5. Doppelganger (Elijah/Billy) -- Still my favourite of my fics and the title is no exception. I think it's German. I got it from the Buffy episode "Doppelgangland" where Vamp Willow comes back--the evil double idea.
It was a good idea after all to hold off on posting the new Elijah pics last night. Now I have something to post today.
