I have an excellent reason for not posting last night, which is that Clare had 4 of her friends over and was hiding out in my parents' room *facepalms* and then I had to go to bed so I could get up early for work. Oh, the joys of working mornings on the weekend.

I have a far less excellent reason for not updating the night before. I went to T&N's and watched The Bourne Identity, which was disappointing given the hype but I still enjoyed it (and Franka was terrific.) It's a very good-looking movie, and for an action thriller it's quite smart.

We also went to the bar, and that was fun. And Ash was there, and we had beer and Skeletor and SPARKLERS omg.

I love how suddenly a LOT more people like Boone. There seemed to be a fairly strong argument against him not a month ago and now everyone's all "I wish they'd kill [insert character here] in gruesome and bloody ways and bring back Boone!"

I'm not saying some people didn't like him before this week...just a lot more seem to like him now.

I'm not going to Melbourne for the killer Tony Head/James Marsters/David Fury convention (unless you were planning on going, frozenwithin) but I AM going to get myself a mini I-Pod. YAY.

Somebody brought up the "God made marriage for a man and a woman, so all relationships should work that way" argument in the Lost fandom. Go spam the intolerant.

I agree about the Boone thing. I'm sad he had to go, but it makes total sense why the writers killed him off (beyond the "he's most expendable" argument). I liked him, but I didn't love him. I would have been very, very sad if it had been Sawyer, Charlie, or Sayid, but Boone I can deal with. (Yes I did cry anyways. But I'm a sap like that)

I liked him too, but not to the extent of wanting him back at the expense of someone else. I only liked him a few weeks before he died, and besides, his death is part of the design of the show. But then I said the same of Sirius's death and he was one of my favourite characters.

I totally agree! If someone has to go, I'm quite glad it was him. There are like...one or two other characters I may have prefered to go, but we don't know enough about them yet. Plus, I'm sure we'll see more of Boone in Shannon's flashbacks.

Sirius is the best. Definetly my favorite character.(Well, now that he's dead, I have to settle for Snape. I'm super happy we find out more about him in HBP. YAY)

Probably for the better, really. These things always seem to end up with me being more frustrated than ever. Ever notice how attempts at communication with such people usually just result in the urge to beat your head against a wall? X|
You know what I didn't expect, though? The bursts of "OMG WTF iz up with slash?!1!" in the replies. Funny how I can refer to myself as a squealing fangirl but feel a little insulted when somebody else does so. *grins*
