OMbloodyG I can't wait to meet James and Tony and Fury on the weekend.
They were so cute on Rove Live I could barely stand it. James said he originally thought playing Spike was completely beneath him but then he watched a scene between SMG and Tony and called his agent back and said "OMG you have to get me on the show."
Rove: "[James thought] I have to kiss that woman."
James: "No, it was him." (pointing to Tony)
Tony: "No, it was me."
They were just completely adorable! AND they showed a bit of Little Britain, which Tony apparently loves, so I won't feel at all bad for telling him I love it at the con.
I have decided to buy them Tim Tams.
Thankyou so much to
sherrif_topato and
tuatha_de for taping Rove for me! Stereophonics were on it at the end and they were, as usual, amazing.
I worked at Luke's school this morning, which was exhausting as ever. They did Arts & Crafts and I ended up helping all the kids but one cut out fish and make little aqariums. They...sort of helped. One of them was so excited about cutting out his own fish he fell off his chair.
Okay, firstly, nobody else except Gary Oldman should ever play Gordon again because I LOVED him in this.
Secondly, yes, Christian Bale was hot, but Liam Neeson and Cillian Murphy were too, in much more disturbing ways. And Morgan Freeman is a fucking legend, always.
Okay, after all the raving about it I was expecting more. I kept giggling in inappropriate places, which I tend to do anyway. I got frustrated with not being able to tell what was going on *at all* in the fight scenes, because that made me very bored. I LOVED the car chase, and I though Michael Caine was hilarious. Probably the best thing about the movie was the characterisation of Bruce Wayne/Batman, which I think worked very well (though we didn't need the corny, in-your-face dialogue to let us know what was going on a lot of the time.) There were a lot of very WTF things about the movie.
Link of the Day: Holy crap.
Trailer for King Kong.
Song of the Day: Well since I just heard it on Rove...

I just love Stereophonics, have done for years and years. This isn't as good as Devil but it's still spiffy.
Pics of the Day: Hot Goth!Maggie Grace in Twelve Mile Road, with thanks to
gypsyjolie.

The Life as a House syndrome kicks in, whereby if you like being goth you must be rebelling and in the end of the film you're 'fixed.' Blech.

But did you know Anthony Head was on an episode of Little Britain once? He was playing some guy's boss (haven't seen enough episodes to know their names sorry!) and the guy was in love with him and tried to snog him. Twas funneh.
Was Tom Cruise a massive wanker?

I think at one point Liam Neeson said "What are you searching for?" and in my head I actually said "A better script."

I loved Batman, which surprised the hell out of me, because I'm not a big fan of either Batman or Christian Bale. But Mr. Bale makes a fantastic Batman, I think. And I don't know why I was so surprised, really, because anything involving the words "Liam Neeson, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine and Gary Oldman" is bound to make me go goofy
ohmygod Liam take me now. *ahem*From:

Yeah, all the seasoned actors were omg SO GOOD. It was impressive that Christian Bale was able to hold his own.
Katie Holmes wasn't.

Argh, you're right. *hangs head*
Katie Holmes wasn't.
Katie Holmes was in this movie? What part did she play? Christian Bale was Batman, Liam Neeson was the bad guy, Gary Oldman was Batman's love interest... I can't seem to remember her being in there. *is puzzled*

I know better than to watch Batman...I was thinking "a better script" from the previews.
Tom Cruise is a wanker, but I'm still going to see War of the Worlds tomorrow. I just gotta...despite his wankerness. *g*

Oh yeah...saw War of the Worlds today. First... let me say that there were previews for both Elizabethtown (one I surely haven't seen before and Orli's American accent is swoon-worthy) and for King Kong...the one that you linked in here, but on the BIG SCREEN! *SQUEEEEEE*
Second...Tom Cruise looked EXACTLY like my ex-fiancee in this movie...further increasing his wankerness...*sigh*
Third...my eyes are nearly swollen shut because I did not blink for 2 hours and 15 minutes. This movie was INTENSE! I was on the edge of my seat for the majority of the movie...and wow...all I can say is...see this movie. I'm going with my step-brother this weekend to see it again. And my little cousin Gracie asked if she could come see it with us again cuz she loved it too. I think this was the first time I've taken her to a non-disney or teen-sensation movie where she stayed fully awake and into the movie.
Oh and I used the terms..."Run dumb asses!RUN!!!" about 30 or 40 times...people are so stupid when they are in danger. Okay...so there we are.
