My day was mostly dull, again. I went out to Manuka to order new glasses and check up on the bookstore (lots of lovely posters which the lady said she might sell me after the book's released), then dropped off Thelma and Louise. I did some Japanese study. Really, that's about it. Watched the shows tonight, of course, and am very disappointed about the Buffy repeat, even though Tabula Rasa's a classic. I want new stuff! Yukako's an evil, evil woman, and we should stop talking about zoophilia, necrophilia and dendrophilia. *sigh* Onto the reviews, then.

Gyaaah!!! Spoilers-->Gyah, they got rid of Prez Palmer! Stupid evil Senate, evil Australian new-President (though how ironic is that?) and stupid evil Quentin Travers/Harris Yulin/dunno what he's called in the show! And yay, Jack and Kate. I like her much better than Terri, though the breakdown was just a bit contrived. Jack looked fucking *sexy* tonight, and I love Almeida still. I knew the Prez was fucked on that last vote. Well, actually, as soon as Quentin Travers showed up. Oooh, next week's looks great--Prez's evil bitch wife! Toldja she was a baddie. Spawn's back, and may actually become involved, finally. Lots of Aussies on this show huh? Um, what else? I guess that's it. Oh yeah...how disappionting was that chip thing? Everything's conspiring against us, including suddenly corny music. Grr. Yes, that's all now. After the episodes I always have so much in my brain to sort through I usually only just get it back on track for....
Queer as Folk
There seems to be a bit of BadDad syndrome going on for American Father's Day (effulgent's icons are lovely). Good things ours isn't until September. Justin, Brian and Gus's BadDads were all in this episode, and notice how Michael's father's missing? Writers have issues much? Of course it concentrates on Brian and give him some lovely angst to work with, so I'm not complaining. God he's beautiful when sad. Also, when happy. And bitchy. Ahem, moving on. Reiko said he wasn't hot!!! Does she *have* eyes?! Obviously, he was fantastic tonight, with his daddy complexes and all. His father is always so affecting, he's such an asshole. And when Brian stumbled drunk through Michael's apartment...*sigh* such an amazing scene, w/ Michael's immediate and simultaneous understanding and misreading of the situation. I want Brian's fucking bracelet. He's so hot. The black tank has returned to great effect.
Emmett! I love Emmett in this ep. It's cool to see him get out there and get his kicks, do what he wants, and his slide into near-insanity is hilarious, with Pitts9x6. That scene where he shows up at the apartment is classic, as is his voyage into cyberspace. Mel and Linds were surprisingly cool tonight (which reminds me, this is the ep we saw at the coast, with the lesbian sex scene all boys but Adam missed by like 2 seconds.) And Lindsay was wearing my Gap tshirt! The purple, pink and green one I wear all the time! I was so happy :D but it looks better on me. I can't wait for the one where Brian's father dies...I love that ep.

Which needs an icon but I can't animate.

Yeah, it's a great ep. All were hilarious, balanced nicely against the angst. Plus, Spike and Xander screaming like girls. And it was wonderful to see Tara again, because she's lovely. But I want new stuff, dammit!!!
