I wish I was at the ComiCon. *sobs*
I entered a competition to go to Sydney for the American Wedding premiere. Oh look, I've gone and jinxed it now *pouts* Probably won't win anyway, but hey, lotsa tix to advance screenings in Canberra in it too. Meh. Today was long again. I went to uni for my first gender studies lecture, the subject appears to consist of a lot of work and have very little to do with gender. Hmm. Tried to get the French thing fixed but no such luck. Then went to my brand-new Film tute which is dominated by a rather creepy, overtly opinionated bikie type. Bloody moron making like the scene where Cosmo dances with the mannequin relates somehow to child porn. I coulda smacked him. It was still and ok tute, though, and I managed to get a few words in edgewise. On my way home I spied Melissa, but I was tired and I've been very cranky all day because my eyes are stinging and driving me mad. I don't know why, either. It's incredibly frustrating.
I had the Big DiscussionTM with my father tonight. He, erm, "expressed his disappointment." Won't go anymore into it than that but look! I'm alive!
2 hours 15 minutes of Rove, YAY! Aussie TV variety shows are odd...I've been watching Micallef and Rove and have discovered that they basically just stick in anything they find amusing. A lot of it is one big in-joke. I find it most amusing. Meanwhile, rundown of the guests:
Aguilera--Where the hell does she hide her face?!
Chris Martin--Didn't mind him, actually. Quite amusing.
Big Brother types--are they a lot less close than last year's, or was that my imagination?
Evanescence--rocked.
DL Furness--Rather have her husband, thanks.
Gareth Gates--The who in the what now?
Coldplay--Never liked them.
The comedian--obviously not that great, can't even remember his name.
HAH! Rove fell off his chair!!! He's so *cute*.
Then I watched Angel. Geez, Connor angst much? He's such a pretty boy, too. How fake was alternate-universe-land? Please, Joss. I did like the moral issues--paradise vs. free choice. Jasmine's one creepy bitch. Poor, poor Connor and Angel, and oh the angst. Did I mention there was angst? Cute Galaxy Quest reference.
Fuck, I don't have a link of the day. Oh, this is hilarious. It's Elijah Wood as a UNIX system administration. Bit of X-rating in there, but quite amusing. Man, PotC icons are posting like crazy.
