I miss Oliver Wood. Damn, that boy's attractive.

ETA: Gary Oldman's role as Sirius Black may not be reprised in Order of the Phoenix?!?!?!

Um, but Sirius is one of the most important characters IN Phoenix. He's a catalyst, he's part of the plot. They'd be insane to cut him out! And not have Gary as Sirius? Only if they get Johnny Depp to play Sirius... but that's a whole other story... that has fic involved.

Now, if Viggo lost a lot of weight/muscle mass--I can picture that.

HOWEVER, I would still be pissed if Gary Oldman isn't in it, whether he is replaced or not. The continuity (or lack thereof...) would kill me.

The thought of not seeing a HP movie in the theater made me panic a little! lol I've seen them all in the theater, opening weekend. I'd need to see it just to know why I hate it, you know? And, being the dedicated fangirl that I am, I'd also have to buy it for my collection, hatred or not. Just like GOF.

But really? Without Sirius, where's the fucking plot? It's got so much to do with him, leaving him out is OUT OF THE QUESTION!

...yeah, you're probably right. Money. Maybe they think that since PoA was the least commercially successful movie they need to move away from it. Which is BAD because it was by far the best movie.

No, I think they're thinking about how much time they have for the film (to keep it at 2-1/2 hours) and how many characters and their story lines, and how maybe this or that can be cut. How much do you want to bet that the whole Trelawney/Firenze stuff is cut, as well as much of the Fred and George stuff? Arrgh. Just make the movie three hours and be FAITHFUL, fuckasses!

Ugh, good point. I don't mind the Trelawney/Firenze stuff going, or most of the stuff at school - I've always thought the outside world was more interesting in OotP. No Fred & George would be sad. At least they're doing the flashback scene...but how can they NOT include the SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT PART of the ENTIRE BOOK? No death of Sirius would be extraordinarily, horrendously, hideously bad.

Well, how can they do the flashback scene and not acknowledge Sirius in the rest of the movie. I'm hoping it's just too soon right now and they haven't approached Gary Oldman. I can't imagine that JKR would allow it to be made without Sirius. She does still have say on what goes in and what doesn't.

They can't do this, come on, that's just a rumor, I mean, they alsready cast young James and Lily, why would they cut Present Sirius? when his house and his family and his life are so central in this book?
I wouldn't mind that much if he's recast though, as I thought he was too old to play Sirius.

I would mind very much. I thought Gary was a lovely Sirius. He fits in the age bracket that the films have created - he's too old to play canon!Sirius, but remember he has to have been at school with Alan Rickman playing Snape.
