Today was an interesting day.
I started it with chocolate toast, French class and a blackout. Kelly is in my French class. She is an extraordinarily friendly girl and I fear she may be trying to steal my liver. Then I had 2 hours in which I did nothing. Then I bumped into Nutty, called Justin who didn't give me much useful info on what to buy Lea, saw Nutty again, called Tom and Nina and they were standing right in front of me. Watched as treasures and terrors were lain out in the annual scavenger hunt. Too many pictures of nudity in public places for my liking, but I was mostly shocked by how completely un-shocked I was by the entire thing. While walking back through the uni, bumped into Joel and met Chris, and that's where my day really got interesting.
He had cask wine (he called it a goon and I kept giggling "Goonies!"), which he kindly shared with me. Then we bought beer. I skipped a lecture and a tutorial, saw Peter and Nutty again, played frisbee with a Toohey's New sign, wandered around, somehow got myself upstairs in Burgmann, and finally ended up lost and dazed and very, very cold. I got home at about 9:15. Sigh. Now I'm slightly sick and my hands are still to warm up.
So I now know what it's like to get drunk in the middle of the day for no other reason than because you're a uni student and you can. I'm over it.
Link of the day? Hungover.net hangover cures, because I have a feeling I'm gonna need it tomorrow. Love the brightness adjuster.
Okay, as promised here are the Order of the Phoenix US version chapter pictures. Please enjoy them and criticise them as much as I did.
This is a later chapter pic but I think it's also right at the beginning of the book. Padfoot coming out the Black house door.
Harry still looks kinda kid-like in the illustrations, while Dan looks more like an adult every day. And what an adult.
Petunia looks far better in the movie. Fiona Shaw ROCKS!

Now this I love, it's got a great relationship between the badge and the kids and how it's dominating the frame. Hermione looks like CoS Hermione...very little-girl. They just don;t look like 15 yr olds.

I don't remember what this is meant to be. I remember the chapter because it's scary and chilling, but not this scene.
It took me ages to figure out this one, then I realised it's that silver device in Dumbledore's office while they sit there after Harry's vision. It's mystical and very Dumbledore--elegant old hippy that he is.
That's...kinda funny but kinda disturbing.
Ah, of course. This is wonderful, but I can picture the movie version of the fight being quite different--Severus looks quite Snivellus-like here, but I can imagine Rickman's Snape being calculating, shrewd. Sexy. Still, great scene.

Firenze rocks, so this picture makes me sad. He looks like a nancy-boy Renaissance child.

I'd like to see Sirius falling instead of bullshit BRAINS. Grr. The pic before was lovely and mysterious, but this is icky.
