Er, on a happier note, lots of Supernatural manlovin' at some event recently. Alas, no pics, though hopefully some will surface. There's a second report here.

I'm still too annoyed to post properly.

ETA: yes, John Stewart rocks. I like George Clooney. The Academy still = fuckers.

There are now some pictures at [livejournal.com profile] sn_daily, but you have to join the com. I understand from everyone that there was an inordinate amount of manlove though.

I did have to join.

I do not, however, have to stay joined to keep them. :D

I have photos from the Paley festival! (http://darkspectre.livejournal.com/152656.html)

The Event was the William S. Paley Festival, hosted by the Museum of Radio and Television, and screened at the Directors Guild of America. It is a two week long festival of television, you can see info on it at MTR.org. Lost was there last year and a segment of their panel from last year appears on the Season 1 DVD.

Anyhow, I went to Friday's panel for Battlestar Galactica, and then to Saturday's panel for Supernatural. It was a good panel, and I did not read the other two rundowns you linked, but I will later on, to see how they compare to what I remember. I did get to ask a question of the boys, and here is that info.

I asked them if there was ever a time on set that the props, actors doing the demon thing or any sets ever creeped them out. Jared said they were filming in this one house and a clock just fell of the wall. No one was near it, no work was going on, it was not part of the scene, so everyone just sort of looked at it, then decided to go back to work, ignore it, not to investigate it. Jensen's answer, I'm blanking on at the moment and I have a Dr. appointment to now, so I'll have to think on what Jensen said to me. D'oh, can't believe I can't remember. I'll put it here when I get back. Sheesh.

And I only got two pics, not so great, I'll try and pop them up later on as well.

Aw yes, the Asylum was Jensen's main freak out. When they broke for lunch on the location set of an actual asylum, he thought he'd take a short cut and was about to head down a darkened corridor. He kept telling himself, "it's not that far". I guess the whole place just had a really creepy vibe to it.

And I loved Kripke's answer about the music. Not only did he write notes to not use any kind of wimpy music, he actually wrote a scene where Dean and Sam are talking about the tape cassettes in the car. AC/DC, Metallica, Motorhead, etc. Kripke figured that if they established the musical tastes in the script, then they couldn't change it later.

Mmm, I know that now, but I think the links I got to the posts were to behind the lj-cut and I somehow missed the introductions. I recognised the background from Lost and VMars last year as soon as I saw the pictures though :)

I'm scared of bugs so that would be mine :S I couldn't watch that episode. Thanks for sharing your story!

JON STEWART!!! ♥

Did you watch the very very beginning? With him and George Clooney in bed together? Because that made my life.

LOL yes, that was adorable. Didn't make up for BBM not winning but it was awesome.

True. I was very sad for you :(. And sad for me, because I really didn't like Crash.

"Is this a dream?"
*shakes head*
*DANCE*

Now, if I had been between them...yeah.

Uhm, I have an older man fettish. Oops. :)

Finally, somebody else! I didn't like Crash. I thought the cast was amazing, but otherwise...

LOL his little dance was so cute. And George just lounging behind him as he did his thing. LMAO.

I seriously was so happy when I found out that you didn't like it, especially because I really respect your opinion about film--you seem to know a lot about it and actually base your opinion on concrete reasons. The acting was good and it was funny, but...

The DANCE! The lounging! I need a video clip.
