If one more person rants about people ranting about Crash beating Brokeback because Oscar hates The Gay, I'm going to lose it. I haven't seen *any* rants about why Brokeback lost, I've only seen people ranting about people ranting about it.

ETA: On another note, my new favourite insult is "You're a dirty pirate hooker."

brokeback lost because Crash was a better film. It's as simple as that. i dont care how you dress it up, Brokeback is still just a trashy romance and a trashy romance doesn't deserve an oscar

Blech, I didn't like Crash at all, I thought it was a mediocre movie at best. I would've like Brokeback even if it was het.

Though I liked it better for the gay.

I quoted something that dryope wrote in her journal on metaquotes because I thought it was hilarious, and everyone took it as if the post was Anti-Brokeback and ran with that - most of them being Anti-Brokeback themselves. It was sad. I meant nothing by the post except that I thought it was funny.
