*sad*
As many of you are already aware, Sean Biggerstaff will not be returning to play Oliver Wood in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban as his role has been cut from the film. He posted a comment on it over at his site. Good luck if you can find this mysterious diary thing. I can't. It's caused an absolute uproar over at The Leaky Cauldron, 221 responses posted since after this time yesterday. That's a lot. I tried watching Lord of the Rings with *all* the extras, but nothing managed to cheer me up. Spoilers for book 3 below.
Yes, he's hot, and there won't be anyone to drool over. This, however, is not my major complaint. The scene where Gryffindor wins the Quidditch Cup and Wood sobs on Harry's shoulder, and then later when Harry passes the cup to Wood, was by far one of my favourites in the book--and that's *before* they even cast Sean. I also loved Fred and George's comment that Wood was "trying to drown himself" in the showers, and Wood's desperation in his speech before the Big Game. So far I haven't complained about much of anything in the movies (corniness of the ending of CoS notwithstanding,) but this just upsets me. The only scene that beats it in my mind is Sirius and Lupin's meeting in the Shrieking Shack.
I'm very "disappointed." Word of the day at TLC.
