RIP Donald O'Connor 1925-2003
Very sad news, and it's getting more strange by the day how many celebrities are dying on us. Anyway, much Singin' in the Rain love in all my blogs to commemorate Donald O'Connor.
It's late (just finished watching the VMAs) and I've got work tomorrow, so I need to type fast. The party last night was pretty cool, Anthony's 21st. Especially after my 5th or 6th Vodka Cruiser. Met lots of lovely people and had many interesting conversations, plus I got to go out clubbing. Stayed out a little while by myself while I sobered up though, lol. I liked seeing Melissa and Anthony outside uni, it's quite different.
Today was not very interesting. Planned to have extensive Die Hard and 28 Days Later-watching fun on Wednesday w/ T&N, or maybe just Tom, depending on how Nina's feeling. *sends bighugs and healing vibes to Nina* Got some family coming tomorrow, so that should be interesting, and I'm going to see Pirates again. YAY! I love Jack, yes I do.
The Flashfic-a-thon is all organised, I sent out the emails so I hope everyone got them, and I looke forward to reading the resulting fics!! This is going to be a blast, we even have one femslash this year (which I hope gets written for the sake of diversity.) Poor [Bad username or unknown identity: etsu_88)]this rant because it is very funny, reminds me of the movie High Strung. Which everyone should see, by the way, because it's hilarious.

Which reminds me, I was in town shopping for my father's birthday present yesterday (which I hate because you know he's invariably going to hate what you buy), when I came across a GORGEOUS Lord of the Rings chess set--with Shelob as the queen for the black pieces. I nearly died. And little hobbit pawns! Which sounds like hobbit porn. Which we like. Off topic.
