I saw two movies today, Jim Jarmusch's Mystery Train and Wim Wenders' Paris, Texas.

Both are ponderous and European-inspired and, well, frequently boring. Both have looooong takes and slow scenes and a little humour and a whole lot of nothing. And yet I loved Mystery Train and hated Paris, Texas. Why? What is about Wenders that makes me want to bash my head against a wall until my brains splatter out, like that animation of the stick figure guy who maims himself on his keyboard? Why do I absolutely love Jarmusch's films? Makes NO SENSE.

9 out of 10 for Mystery Train

6 out of 10 for Paris, Texas

There is a 1 in 12 chance that the one film I haven't seen will be on the exam I am taking in 8 hours. I'm willing to put money on it being screened.

Random note on fanfiction: I like porn. I like H/C. I don't like both in one story.

LA Two Towers premiere.
