Thank God for Queer as Folk.
Thank God for SBS for that matter, it's the only place you get all the drugs and sex and scandal without it being some sleazy bimbo show on Channel Ten, or reality TV. I watched Queer as Folk tonight, and discovered you can't flick channels while taping from TransACT or it shows up on the tape, so I only got to see a *very* fuzzy and brief image of Brian as "RAGE" flying over Babylon in this cute little black superhero number *drools.* If you missed this episode, REGRET IT immediately. It was fantastic. Esp. if you're a fan. Unfortunately I started taping Buffy tonight so I missed the very end of QaF. I watched Emmett's sayonara George speech all fuzzy and staticy, but it just wasn't the same :( What else...24 was good, if odd. Spoilers below, highlight text to read it (so BB can see my site now!)
I can't believe that Jack *didn't* put talking to Kim above everything else. And quite frankly I was a bit pissed off at him for not at least talking to her a tiny bit more. The Kim storyline went nowhere tonight, which was disappointing, but Nina and Jack's dynamic was great, and that Reza/Almeida tension is fantastic, I'm loving that, and the boys are pretty hot. Not Brian hot, but still. Still not loving Pres Palmer's bitch wife, but at least she was useful.
You can look now! Tonight's Buffy episode was Help. *drools* Cassie is one of the best non-main characters we've seen in a long while. I'm talking not even properly recurring, of course (Jonathan etc. all fall under this category.) The story was very touching. Loved it.
Saw Nosferatu in Film Studies. I have that feeling again like I should've liked it more than I did, which is annoying. It just did nothing for me. There were a few genuinely scary moments but it didn't seem to go anywhere, and all the lighting...they were trying to convince us it was night in the middle of the day. I know there were lighting restrictions and all, but it annoyed me. The only decent sense of atmosphere I got in the whole movie was when Jonathon was in Drac's castle, and then the cool vamp didn't even kill the whiny little bitch. *sigh* and all the swooning....At one point it looks like Nina has some sort of orgasm while trying to resist the temptation to read the Book of Vampires. I guess they liked the small pleasures, what with it being such a small town, and her husband was so useless.
Life-wise no developments today, hung out with Phoebe and Peter a lot. My sister Clare's going away to camp for a few days, which'll be a nice relief.
*mourns terrible loss of Oliver Wood from the third movie* I don't care if you think he wasn't necessary, I found him important, and I'm sure I'll still love the movie, I just miss what might've been.
Link of the day isBuffyWorld.com because it's fun and shiny and I get all my screencaps there. Well, there are pretty ones at S. O'Conner's site, but frankly it's a bitch to load.
Welcome to my PIcs of the Day, a cowboy hats special. ...what?! I know you lot haven't seen enough of Gale Harold yet, there's only the one pic in my header!

1. Gale Harold

2. Sean Astin

3. Elijah Wood (okay that hat's just *odd*)

4. Seth Green
*pokes Peter* Methinks the lady doth protest too much. Bye bye now
Green Queen
