I guess seeing John whispering to Dean in the 'previously on' section confirms that he was talking about what's going on with Sam. I'm so glad they abandoned the classic rock montages - they were cool with Carry On My Wayward Son, but got old after that.
That was actually a really creepy opening scene for once...of course it's a vision. Hee, zip it up.
Jared's accent is strong in this episode. No, not the Roadhouse. Just because Sam doesn't have a laptop they can't do their own bloody research anymore? Augh. I like Dean making light of Sam's "so I'm a freak now?" comment without answer it.

Oh, fuck off Mary Jo. Although that expression from Dean when he says he's scared of Ellen is the cutest thing ever. Mary Jo, seriously, take a hint.

Okay, I’ve read the sides so I know Andy’s not the bad guy, which makes me feel bad that he’s torn up about the Doc’s death.
DEAN/METALLICAR OTP. “I’m sorry baby, I’ll never leave you again!”
Okay, the musical sting when they opened Andy’s van was awesome. I’m full-on film nerding this episode (see what I did there, Kripke?) but I’m really enjoying the way it’s been put together. I love that Dean loves Andy’s van. BONG.
…that’s an interesting thing for Dean to say, about the microwave food. Are we getting the switchover already? Dean wanting to settle, Sam wanting to hunt? I love that Dean knows what’s going on and Sam doesn’t. It’s his instincts – Dean knows they’re good and he listens, while Sam’s a thinker, too logical.

The little smile at the end is pure genius. Sam facing down Andy is cool too. Paddywhack is HUGE. How does Sam not notice he’s got a vision coming on?
I love how Vision Woman’s conveniently wearing a heavy black coat and gloves so that the stunt will be OK.

‘I have an evil twin’ = GOLD. Finally, something I don’t know – his evil twin was that restaurant guy.

Yeah, Tracy’s not going to be thrilled about Andy using his powers on her like Evil Twin did. DEMON. I’m glad Sam can hear this, because I don’t want to know anything as an audience member that the brothers don’t know on this show.
You know, I hate to say it, but Evil Twin’s obsession with family and his brother hits closer to home with Dean than Sam. Also, he has pretty eyes. I’d’ve thought Sam would save Dean, not Andy.
Okay, Sam having this conversation with Dean is pissing me off, because we know Dean’s killed someone in the past to save Sam. True, demon-possessed, but that guy was still human. Now Sam’s calling Andy out for being a killer when Dean’s done the same thing? That’s cutting really close to the bone right there. Jared’s doing well, though. More boytouching!

Now Ellen is pissing me off as much as Mary Jo. She went through their files, nosing through their history, who is she anyway? They JUST met her. Dean is just daring Ellen to say anything against Sam. Body language, man.

I'm inclined to think all the psychic kids would've gotten their powers regardless whether one of the parents died. Perhaps it's just that Andy's adoptive mother, like Mary, came into the nursery at the moment the Demon was...doing something to the child (giving him powers? trying to take him away?), and that's why she was killed...

YES!!!! YES!!!!!!!!!! I wish the Metallicar would manifest herself as a human being and kick Jo's ass. I mean, really. I think the Metallicar would be a sexy hot mama if she were a human. That was pretty much how I felt.
As for Ellen, if I think of her more as a motherly figure (as she seemed to have known John quite well) I don't hate her as much. Plus I think I spend too much energy hating Jo to hate Ellen. I'm more indifferent to her.

Y'know, for a show that's all "MOM KILLED BY DEMON OMG TRAGIC", they have some shitty mother figures with Ellen and Missouri. I don't even like the actress who plays Missouri.
