Today I saw Nanny McPhee
I watched it because my sister bought it on Anytime and it hadn't run out yet, so why waste it? It was pretty cute, if predictable in the extreme and very stereotypical. The poor man's Mary Poppins, but I expected no less when I watched it. The colour palette was an interesting experiment that didn't entirely work, though some of the costumes were amazing. I really don't see why the nanny got more attractive when the kids learned their lessons. Kelly Macdonald was charming, the kid from Love, Actually does his wide-eyed smartass routine and Colin Firth was bumbling and cute, but a couple of the kids really were just little shits.
5 out of 10.
