Women of Supernatural fandom.
Supernatural wins BIG in the Best of 2006 poll. I love the show and all, but there's no way Battlestar Galactica isn't a better show. It's a popular vote and Supernatural is a more popular show. Also, I hate this idea that if you think another show's better you're a bad fan. Whatever.
Behind the Scenes photos for 2x14 Born Under a Bad Sign. I love how the promo pics are so intense and then you look at those and the boys are goofing around. N'aww.
Tonight I saw Footloose
Wow, I can't believe how harsh a rating this got on IMDb! Maybe it's just my love of all things 80's and dancing and 80's dancing colouring my opinion, but I thought it was cute. Chris Penn was great, Kevin Bacon was hilarious, and the whole thing was really fun and upbeat. Unrealistic to the point of being silly, but also a cultural icon - watch it and see how many scenes have been parodied or references in movies and TV shows (*cough*TheSimpsons*cough*) you've seen. I liked the awkwardness of the teenage dialogue. Lori Singer's character was the only thing that I really hated about the movie. She was an unsympathetic, manipulative nutcase.

1. What are your 5 favorite moments within the series?
5. The opening chapter of Philosopher's Stone, because it got me hooked more effectively than anything else I've ever read.
4. Luna's explanation of the Rotfang conspiracy: the Aurors trying to bring down the Ministry from within using a combination of Dark magic and tooth decay. That's pure genius.
3. Ron sacrificing himself in the game of chess at the end of Philosopher's Stone. Please, please don't be foreshadowing, please.
2. The entire Shrieking Shack scene - saving Ron, confronting Sirius, the Marauder back story, Snape and Sirius. Also one of my favourite movie scenes.
1. The scene in Order of the Phoenix where Sirius and Snape size each other up in the kitchen and want to fight. I wish they'd had more interaction, they're my two favourite characters and they are so intense.
2. What are your 4 favorite creatures?
4. Pigwidgeon! Forgive me my girly moment, but SO CUTE OMG.
3. Dragons. I agree with Hagrid on the point that they're misunderstood, I think of them as something like sharks - they're just animals with a right to live and their own kind of beauty, as long as you don't fuck with them. Plus Norbert was kinda cute.
2. Hippogriffs. They came out beautifully in the movie and they're such proud, gorgeous creatures.
1. Fwoopers. They only appear in Fantastic Beasts & Where to Find Them, they're brightly coloured birds whose song drives the listener to insanity.
3. Who are your 3 favorite Weasleys?
3. Bill. I have a crush on Bill. He's hot.
2. Fred & George, because they're totally one person. I just have this feeling Jo's going to kill one of them because of how inhumanly cruel that would be.
1. Ron. He's so real and human and loyal and brave, but flawed.
4. What are your 2 favorite Hogwarts houses?
2. Slytherin. I actually wish I had certain Slytherin qualities. I'm not ambitious enough.

1. There is only one good Harry Potter film. Prisoner of Azkaban. Cuaron FTW!

2. If the boys weren't limited to US locations, what other town would you like to see them investigate, and why?
Canberra, because I live here. Uh, okay, Shanghai, because I'd like to see the culture shock. Also, I'd like to see a shot of Jared walking through a crowd of Chinese people.
3. Do you believe that Mary's death at the beginning of this series was "fated", or could she possibly have stayed alive if only she'd remained in bed?
It's the Harry Potter idea of destiny, isn't it? There's no way Mary would have remained in bed when she knew something was wrong, because it wasn't who she was. If she could do it over again, she probably would've done the same thing to try to protect her son.
4. What do you think is the contrast between Andy Gallagher and Max Miller?
Andy's not nearly as pasty and makes Star Wars references. And, uh, doesn't kill people who aren't actively putting others in harm.
5. What do you think of Season Two so far?
Ten times better than Season One, but still needs some work in the script department.

Also the Sci-Fi thing... ummmmm... bwuh? I don't watch "Battlestar Galactica" but even i'm pretty sure it's a better TV show than "Supernatural". I guess we just have more hardcore fangirls...?

I like Supernatural, I do, but I think this sort of thing gives people an inflated sense of how good the show is. If it won a cinematography or music award I'd be all over it.
