Ahh, Halloween is now over. What a shame, I was enjoying it.
Yesterday I got up and had my driving review and PASSED! That's right, I'm a P PLATER!!!! :D:D P stands for Provisional, it's just an extra step--I can drive by myself, but I have fewer points on my liscence to lose, and I can't drink at all before driving. But still, it's so cool! So then I went and bought my liscence and some foul vertically striped knee socks, which are really cool. Then I went to the uni bar and "helped" carve a pumpkin, and we hung out and listened to some nice live music and discussed bestiality, and it was all fun, and then I came home and got dressed and went to Lea's where we did my hair (and Lea's, and Tom's scars, and Nina's hair and makeup) and finally went to the party!
The party was excellent. Jeffy did a *fantastic* job of doing the house up--jack-o-lanterns, a great graveyard, some legs under a car, cobwebs, smoke machines. It was amazing. There were some great costumes too. Zombie surfers (Tom), comic book characters(Nina--she was Dawn), Dread Pirate Roberts, samurai, Scream killers (3), demon santas, more pirates than you can poke a stick at, and Ben came as Mozart--won the best costume prize, because it was perfect. Lots of fun! We watched Scream (the camerawork in that is surprisingly shoddy), and then...RING!!! THe Japanese one!!! Sadako could kick the shit out of Samara anyday. That is one creepy-ass movie, though the lead woman is a complete wimp in the Japanese version. The one eye is much scarier than Samara's face, and the fingernails and the crawling....*shudders* Brilliant stuff.
Then today I went to tutoring and then went shopping with Nina, but I didn't get what I wanted because the bloody store closed *grr* but I drove by myself! Twice!! It was great. We watched Look Who's Talking tonight--not a piece of cinematic genius, but the whole egg and sperm thing is fantastic.
That should be interesting.

1) What is the movie that scared you the most? (Notice I didn’t say the scariest movie.) Does it scare you still?
It's a tossup between Neverending Story and The Little Mermaid. I was a kid who could sit through Terminator without batting an eye and then got scared of a giant sea-witch and a mechanical wolf.
I think the reason Neverending Story scared me was because I was a psychotically avid reader (I would read the back of cereal packets for something to read as a child), and there was this threat of the wolf thing coming out of the book to kill the kid reading, but he couldn't stop. *shudder* As for Ursula...I just didn't like her.
And no, they don't still scare me.
2) What is the tv show or episode that scared you the most? Does it scare you still?
War of the Coprophages. Yes. Oh, and this episode of Goosebumps that had clowns, and the creepy necrophiliac in X-Files.
3) Do you watch horror movies/tv shows or avoid them? Why?
I love them, because I like to be scared but also because I appreciate them for being able to scare me if they can manage it!
4) What is the best “Very Special Halloween” episode of all time? Why?
Um, probably Fear, Itself. The fear demon! Xander's invisibility! Anya's giant bunny! Giles in a funny hat! Oz as God!
5) You have an unlimited budget and the best costumers and makeup people from Hollywood to help you, who or what do you dress as for Halloween?

Ironically, a bumlebee. Mum made the costume, it was very good.
2. What was your best costume and why?
I'm fond of my Grim Reaper costume, because it actually scared small children.

4. Do you have any Halloween traditions? (ie: Family pumpkin carving, special dinner before trick or treating, etc.)
Nah, we're pretty sporadic with celebrating--I think this is the first time I've ever celebrated in Australia.
5. Share your favorite scary story...real or legend!
Well, there's always the red doll story. It creeped me out when I was twelve. Now, it seems stupid...
I think the classic is Frankenstein, too, because it's such a tragedy...it shows the terrifying power of the masses, rather than a monster.
