It's finally officially official: Veronica Mars: the TV show is dead, Jim. There's hopes of continuation in a movie or comic book form though.

There are no words to describe the gay bomb story.....

Wife out doing stuff for the first time since April, looking hot.

I have to admit, I'm sort of bemused by all the 'Jensen Ackles is REAL!' posts. It's like...well, yeah. What did you think he was, CG? But apparently he also considers the car the show's third lead, which is cool :D I'm also disappointed that What Is and What Should Never Be is the most popular (non-finale) episode of this season of Supernatural...just because I don't get the appeal.

21: Houses of the Holy (shot well, but so heavy-handed with the religion it actually hurts me.)
20: Hunted
19: No Exit
18: Everybody Loves a Clown (but the final scene ranks in my top 5 scenes all season.)
17: The Usual Suspects
16: Heart
15. Roadkill
14: Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things (again, with a final scene that kills.)
13. What Is and What Should Never Be
12: Playthings
11. All Hell Breaks Loose Part 1
10: Simon Said
9: Bloodlust
8: Folsom Prison Blues
7: Tall Tales
6: Croatoan (which has a high placing almost solely by virtue of it being one of the most gorgeously shot episodes of the season.)
5: Crossroad Blues
4: All Hell Breaks Loose Part 2
3: In My Time of Dying
2: Born Under a Bad Sign
1: Nightshifter

I really have to agree with you on What Is and What Should Never Be, I just didn't like it when I saw it the first time, or the second. I mean yeah, I like it b/c it's SPN and there were elements/ideas that I thought were cute/good, but eh. I agree with most of your list too, (of course mine would be slightly different) but your top four are my top four. And yes, the last scene of Everybody Loves a Clown is one of the best of the series. (Kills me every time!) ;P

I thought WIAWSNB was average. I'm not a fan of those sorts of AU-based TV episodes unless they're really really REALLY good, and perfectly executed, and it was neither. It was like the writers didn't really put a lot of thought into more than getting Jess and Mary back into the show and getting some good angst in there.

BUaBS and Nightshifter are how season arc-based episodes and standalones should be done, man. And the Impala-bashing scene is an example of what they don't do often enough on this show: Dean acting out his emotions rather than having a D&M with Sam at the end of every episode.

Anyone that pretty and nice should be CG! :D It's always surreal closing the emotional distance between watching tv vs. standing directly in front of the actor and him making eye contact with you. 4th wall? GONE.
