The Phuck Attack icon reveal! SO many awesome icons. I wish I'd changed my claim earlier.

rosemending disappeared from LJ, which means that as I lost the text she sent me with her new number, I have no way of contacting her :( I used to hang out with her and beanzy and greedy_dancer in Sydney and now those two are overseas and Jenny has disappeared! Woe.

I'm doing Greatest Hits for lost_108icons, though, and working on some Supernatural, Dom and Chris icons. Maybe I should make Buffy icons too. There's a bunch of people on my flist who are just getting into Buffy, which I find weird since I've been in that fandom since I was...13? 14? Really young, anyway.

There's the tiniest mention of a maybe possibility of a Serenity mini-series in this Joss interview, not a direct quote from the man himself...but a glimmer of hope nonetheless? No-one can say that Browncoats aren't optimistic! Also, I was not aware Drew Goddard would be doing Season 8 later, but OMG YAY! I love him, he's one of my favourite writers. Speaking of Joss, a fan had an awesome experience with him at Comic-Con.

Not much of a defense, it was advertised as stupid pretty much everywhere. It took ages and loads of word-of-mouth to get people to appreciate it, and I don't think The Establishment really got it until it was over.

I haven't met many people who don't like it, it has great crossover appeal. It's almost like Joss Whedon decided to write a spin-off series about Han Solo, in a much more textured and interesting world than the Star Wars one. Nathan's character Mal fought and lost in a war against the central government years ago and now he's drifting around space in his ship taking any jobs he can, whether they're legal or not. All the characters are really good and the writing is fantastic.
