John Barrowman is awesome, in case you missed the memo. I am working on Torchwood icons.
Torchwood article talking about its American roots (ie. Buffy, BSG and Angel.) Yeah, we noticed.
Kevin Smith to direct an episode of Battlestar Galactica. First Veronica Mars, then Die Hard 4, then Heroes, then BSG? I kinda love this man.
Icons! Pretty Supernatural & Firefly ones and voting at
fuselage_lims.
ETA: Also,
killerspork33! High School Musical 2 icons: THEY WORE EACH OTHER'S CLOTHES ftw.
Check out this awesome diorama of Eko vs. the smoke monster.
Tonight I saw Rent
I'm generally a staunch supporter of musicals. I love flights of fancy, bursting into song-and-dance on the street. However, I found Rent to be pretty difficult viewing. They don't stop singing and I couldn't understand the words most of them time (and when I could I wished I didn't every so often - some of the lyrics were awful.) The cast was fine and most of the techniques employed weren't bad, although it suffered a bit in the stage-to-film transition. It was too long, and yet some of the characters weren't really given enough time - I couldn't figure out the point in Taye Diggs' character until I saw the deleted scenes. I kind of madly loved Jesse L. Martin in this, and my sister was sobbing when Angel died. I also kept cracking up at Adam Pascal (he looked and sounded SO MUCH like an 80's rocker that it was kind of hilarious rather than effective.) Summary: the cast was good but the film was kind of a mess - probably a show best left to the Broadway stage.
6 out of 10
ETA: Jesse and Wilson do 'I'll Cover You' at Rent 10. It's ADORABLE.

Oh lover, I'll cover you
