My God it's boring when people rant about how fantastic other people are in a completely uninspired and unintersting manner.

I borrowed the FotR extended version DVD from my cousins today and I've started watching it, and the deleted scenes are cool--some I definitely think should have stayed in--but I wish they'd do a commentary with just the hobbits. Orli just goes *on* and *on* about how great Sir Ian is and how much he loves John Rhys-Davies and how Viggo's so focussed and Lij did so well for such a young actor (even though they're practically the same age) and blah, blah, blah. It's dull. The hobbits, though, are hilarious. You can definitely tell that all the actors are not sitting in the same room watching the movie--the hobbits interrupt each other and respond to each other, and then Orli or Sir Ian or Christopher Lee will be on a completely different track. The Goonies has a much better cast commentary. I'm looking forward to PJ's commentary, although I'm rather worried I won't be able to put up with the accents. Funniest thing I heard all day was in a deleted scene where Sam confronts Frodo about not sleeping, and offers to help. Frodo says "You can't help me Sam, not this time." My cousin, Tim, says "Only a bottle of Viagra can help me now."

I've slept a total of about 7 hours in the last few days, so I'm completely buggered. I wouldn't have minded hanging out with Colin a bit more since I really didn't get to at his party. Went to Jason's Kitchen (Chinese restaurant traditional for family getherings) for lunch with various family members, then watched FotR all afternoon. Must sleep.

Hair update: still green, but unwashed (ew) coz of being busy this morning.
