First, the good news:

CHRISTIAN KANE IS GOING TO MUHNEYCON. HOLY CRAP THIS IS THE BEST THING EVER. I HOPE HE SINGS!! A:DSFJHSD:FLKDSF CHRISTIAN KANE AND MICHAEL MUHNEY. I WILL DIE OF HAPPINESS.

Bad news: I lost my phone. It sucks royally and I'll have lost a bunch of numbers. I'll also have to spend MORE money each month on the phone bill if I want to get a new one. I loved that phone and I was being conscientious when I lost it, turning it to silent so I wouldn't disturb other movie-goers - I can only assume it somehow fell out of my pocket either at the cinema or in the lift or something.

I HAVE TO GO TO A COSTUME PARTY THIS WEEKEND AND I WISH I HAD THIS COSTUME. I WANT TO BE TRACYYYYYYYYYY. Why am I cursed with living in Australia and having no money? WHY? There's also Edna, Link, Motormouth Maybelle and Penny Pingleton costumes, 'Property of Link Larkin' jewellery and Hairspray t-shirts. They are SO AWESOME.

If you love Chris Lowell (or hell, even just like him really, it's not like this will take a lot of effort) you should go and participate in his online birthday scrapbook. [livejournal.com profile] dekolette is setting it up and I think it's adorable.
There is also a new scene from Private Practice up at YouTube which Chris's character Dell is in for about half a second. But it's a pretty half-second!

Creation salutes Firefly & Serenity in Burbank, California on the weekend of the Muhney con. Good guests.

Torchwood DVDs will soon be released. Come to me, my pretties.

Dylan warns of Cylon invasion. LOL.

For BSG fans, Trucoospam, closely followed by Tahmohspam.

Prince Caspian poster. Ooh, so pretty.

Big ol' spoilers on Indy IV from some hapless extra whose career is not looking so solid right now. Oops. There's also a little Indy tidbit here as revealed by George Lucas, but it's nothing we didn't guess already.

I already linked to the article in question, but I love the Whedonesquers' responses to the Barrowman-kisses-Buffy-stars article.

Random non-fandom things that entertained me today: the meteorite that made people sick (alien invasion?) and a coconut crab attack a rubbish bin. Don't click on that second one if you have a weak constitution.

Uhura's been cast for JJ's Star Trek. I'm glad, I like her.

In continuing Heroes-at-the-Emmys news, caps of the cast of, er, Heroes at the Emmys.

Interview of a new Heroes cast member, not one of the big-name ones.

MOAR ADRIAN PASDAR VIDEOS! ZQKB and Emmy Night. A lot of people have been complaining about that special new girl hogging all the attention, but it seems to be a serious case of Mutual Admiration Society going on between her and the pre-existing cast. They love her, and she loves them, and nobody's acting like she's stealing the spotlight or anything. She's pre-established, too - I'm sure we'll find out more about the others as they progress on the show. Be cool, sodapop.

Finally, Masi Oka at an event with that other new big-name Heroes star.

Little Dom in 'I Sell the Dead' mention; not terribly exciting, but hey, Dom news is good news. There's a little more over here.

Pretty multi-fandom icons.

[livejournal.com profile] fizzyblogic gave me a letter for this meme days ago, but it took me this long to think of good ones:

1. Matt, Melissa & Mitchell - I'm grouping them together because they're all friends I hang out with on a regular basis whose names start with M. Matt's such a sweet kid and Melissa and Mitchell are my Canberra BFFs. We really do do almost everything together. (I said do do, that's awesome.) It makes me sad that we see each other less these days what with work and uni and new boyfriends 'relationships' and evil mothers.

2. Maggie Grace - I swear she looks better all the time, even if I do miss her blond locks. I can't wait to see Jane Austen Book Club.

3. My Chemical Romance - I come across a stack of MCR posts and links every week when I code the newsletter and it makes me love them a little more. They're so squishy and pretty. I actually love the music and artistry of the band, too - Gerard knows what the fuck he's doing, they have great musical influences.

4. Muhney - my love is so great I am foregoing things that I need in order to save to see him in October. SO CLOSE NOW.

5. Musicals - 'Hairspray' has rekindled my love of musicals, which has existed ever since I was 2 years old and in love with Gene Kelly and they were pretty much all my parents would let me watch. Actually, I don't know if that's true; it's possible I just liked them more than regular movies even at that age. 'Singin' in the Rain' is still my all-time favourite, but 'Hairspray' has to be close to the top of the list. I WANT TO SEE IT AGAIN.

6. Masi Oka - Masi Oka is the adorablest ever. I love that he's smart and funny and sweet, it's infinitely attractive. He cracks me up, and he's charming and self-depricating.

7. Metallicar - I don't know why they're so keen on getting girls on the show when they've already got a main character who's so integral to the story. Granted, she doesn't have cleavage, but she has a great body (and better acting skills and chemistry with the boys than most of the female guest stars.) It's hard to make the audience love an inanimate object, but I think the cries of 'NOT THE CAR! ...oh, or the boys' heard across the fangirling nation when that enormous truck came smashing into her in the season 1 finale speak more of her affect on us than I ever could.

8. Mason in Dead Like Me - I've actually had some trouble connecting with the characters in Dead Like Me, and I think part of it's because of the way George keeps everyone at a distance. I've felt removed from it somehow, and when it's affected me emotionally or intellectually it's usually because of one of the guest stars rather than a main character. Mason grew on me, though, because he's that asshole-with-a-heart-of-gold character that grows on everyone eventually, and he's cute as a button. It was Last Call that made me love him, though.

9. Money - I know how shallow it sounds, but I do love money. Not in the sense that I would do anything for it, I don't think I'm particularly capitalist or greedy, but it's nice to have enough that you don't have to be worried about it every single time you do anything, and I miss that. Saving is painful.

10. Monaghan - Dominic Monaghan. It counts.

You know what, I know I'm biased but I think my wife has been looking extra stunning lately, and since I am having RL lack-of-love-life woes I think some pictures of her would do me some good as well as the rest of you. I don't know what's going on with her eyes in these pictures (is that fashion? I'm not good with fashion. I make faces at things people where while my fashion-conscious sister exclaims 'that's hot!'), but that dress is gorgeous.

Eventually I'll stop posting pictures of Dom at the 2004 Emmys.

ETA: OH NO I FORGOT TO TYPE LIKE A PIRATE. Ay, avast ye landlubbers, parsnip, parlay, etc.

I saw that property of Link Larkin necklace at a jewelery store the other day. I was very close to buying.

And Holy SHIT...Maggie Grace is HOT HOT HOT. Those legs go on forever. Sign me up for that little black dress. Whoo, baby.

I want it! I don't have money though.

THAT DRESS. Can it even be called a dress? It's tiny. It's like black cling wrap. GUH.

I'm extremely pleased about Zoe as Uhura - some website made a manip, and it looked perfect. Now let's have Jensen as Kirk and I can die happy.

I've seen the idea floating around and that would be so cool.

Thanks for pimping. You are such a sweetheart ♥

P.S. Maggie looks gorgeous in these pictures. Her legs...I have no words. Is she doing anything at the moment? A movie or tv show? Haven't heard anything about her work in a while.

You lost your phone. Right after we had that conversation about Clare and her inability to keep a phone.

That sucks, but it is also kinda funny.

David Anders how do I love thee. Let me count the ways.

evil mothers?

I'm sorry, I think it's my relationship with my job as much as any particular boy :(

From: [identity profile] green-queen.livejournal.com

Her movie 'The Jane Austen Book Club' will be released very soon in the States and she's just finished working on another one called 'Taken' with Liam Neeson. She's doing pretty well I'd say.

I'm going to have all of mine by the end of this week, so I should be sending it soon. CHRISTIAN AND MUHNEY. It's like Christmas and my birthday ALL AT ONCE.
