I wrote something about the politics of the fight for civil unions in the ACT to print on leaflets for the rally the weekend after next. It took forever, I'm paranoid that I've gotten something wrong somewhere along the way. A lot more research had to go into it than I thought, actually.
More of Dom's Kristin interview: My show should be called 'I Love Billy Boyd'. My life should be called 'I Love Dominic Monaghan', fyi.
Lovely Lost, Torchwood & other icons.
BSG prequel 'Caprica' greenlit, which will be really interesting, I think. Also, Joss and Seth were interviewed for Battlestar Galactica: The Phenomenon (non-Americans, it's all on YouTube) and the top ten reasons to watch the new season of Battlestar Galactica. Awesome!

merry_holdwine: for Lost addicts. My favourite part was the comment that says 'I think I'll get addicted to Perspective next.' I LOL'd.
Plastic Winchester Theatre 3.14! These are so long and involved these days.
Deeply sad news in the celebrity world from the last couple of days:
Director Anthony Minghella dies at 54. I really like Truly Madly Deeply.
RIP Arthur C. Clarke, unparalleled scifi writer.
Maggie Smith fighting breast cancer.
Paul Newman fighting cancer?
Tonight I saw Happy Endings
I really thoroughly enjoyed watching this movie. It wasn't the best movie I've ever seen, but it was sweet and fun, and the gay interest level is high - there's a few gay characters that are just as complex and interesting as the straight characters. Maggie Gyllenhaal is luminous and crazy, as always, and if you disliked a storyline there wasn't much time to get bored because they changed over pretty fast. I liked the framing device of having comedic intertitle-like text at the side of the picture, but I can see how some people wouldn't; overall I thought it was a good slice-of-life film, with a happy ending of its own that was more bittersweet than sugary.

There's a good chance you'll get to see me naked
