We are now the owners of a Bichon/Cavalier cross puppy called Saffy.
She's exceedingly cute, but she's pretty funny and I kinda like her. Very small. She's Clare's dog really, but I get the distinct feeling we're all going to be needed in taking care of her, since Clare's fussy, paranoid and bossy when it comes to her, and doens't really know what to do. She loves her though.
Go Kurt Nilsen for winning World Idol!!! I'm so impressed that he won, he's cool :) although Heinz so didn't deserve to be third. I'm not remotely surprised that Guy pretty much held the middle, since he really grows on people rather than just being instantly adored, you know? You've got to get used to how he looks and sings, and his arrangements. Then you start to love him :)
It was fucking hot today. I went to Lea's and played Boggle with her and Ben and some of his friends and then later Nina. That's really about all I did, not very exciting but it suited me. My brain was all melted and I was acting like such a ditz all day.

Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you'd predicted?
Yeah I've written more than I thought I would.
What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted in January 2003?
Loads of them! Probably Billy/Elijah most of all, and Dom/Billy. Lana/Chloe, definitely.
What's your favourite story of the year? Not the most popular, but the one that makes you happiest.
Oddly enough the Billy/Elijah one, Doppelganger. I love it to pieces and I don't even really know why, it's generic and short and not brilliant but I love it.
Did you take any writing risks this year? What did you learn from them?
I wrote a femmeslash fic. I've taken heaps of risks--some didn't work out, some did, but I learnt what doesn't work. It's good for me.

Challenge myself more and do more and more diverse things every month until I can say I'm actually a half decent writer.
