Apparently, Ripper is still a possibility. This news is a couple of days old, I didn't see the window.

Good news about Dom's role in Wolverine, and impressive considering he was here shooting for about two weeks.

[livejournal.com profile] ack_attack did her usual awesome Lost recap for 4.09 'The Shape of Things to Come'.

Tonight I saw 3:10 to Yuma

I wanted to see this when it was out but didn't get around to it. It was SO worth seeing. Very much a Western, but not in a boring way - it had gritty, interesting and (importantly) likeable characters, as well as character actors in fun little roles (THEY HAVE TO STOP KILLING ALAN TUDYK IN THE MIDDLE OF HIS JOKES.) Ben Foster was, as I had heard, extraordinary (even if his role was very similar to 30 Days of Night) and watching Bale and Crowe go at it (with sexual tension in abundance, slashers) was enjoyable. The film looked great. I couldn't stop thinking of Serenity, with the light flares and cowboy adventures (and a bit of torture thrown in). I think it dragged a bit in places, but there was tension and frontier adventures aplenty. Good times.

Also, Melissa? I was right about Vinessa Shaw and Dallas Roberts. Oh, and the thug from Lost is a comedian. I can SO picture that.
