ACT passes 'civil unions law' - today, the Legislative Assembly passed the bastardised version of the Civil Unions bill so that same-sex couples will be recognised under the law, but ceremonies are still unrecognised.

And I'm off to Sydney for CAPTAIN TIGHTPANTS OMG! BYE!
