I'm all caught up on Doctor Who, just have to watch the most recent episode, which is currently making its happy way on to my computer. I still prefer Torchwood, but Doctor Who's kind of fun. I'll be watching the third season of Gilmore Girls soon. I need to find Farscape after Season 2, because I want to find out what happens.

Also, I am hungry.

Go join [livejournal.com profile] thefangirlguide! It's a guide to movies based not so much on their content as the hot guys in them. Genius.

John Barrowman book signing in LA on the 23rd, for any Barrowfans in the area. (See what I did there?)

Little piece on Heroes season 3 featuring MASI OKA. Spoilers.

Actor's strike diverted? The agreement still needs to be ratified by SAG, but it's looking good!

Live Free or Die Hard gag reel. OH THE LULZ. My favourite is the wheely chair race.

ETA x 3: I don't think Christian Bale's hot, but I've got to admit, the man's got class.
Also, Gary Oldman Crushes Daniel Radcliffe's Innocence, just because it's funny.
The TRUTH about David Tennant. [livejournal.com profile] crumpeteer found this one.

stolen from [livejournal.com profile] truffle_shuffle, because she is awesome.

1. What movie have you seen the most time in the theater? How many times?
I think I maxed out on four with Fellowship of the Ring. Seen a few three times.

2. What was the last movie you walked out of in the theater?
I tried to walk out of Troy twice, but it was my friend's birthday and I didn't want ot be that rude.

3. What is the first movie you remember seeing in a theater?
The Little Mermaid, if only because I got so upset I had to be taken out of the cinema.

4. What is your favorite movie soundtrack?
Hairspray!

5. Have you ever dressed up as a movie character for Halloween? If so, who?
Morticia Addams, most recently. I've dressed up as other movie characters before, but I've got no specifics for you now. Oh, the Scream mask! I did that one too.

6. What was the first R-rated movie you ever saw? Were you allowed or did you sneak?
I don't know about R-rated, but the first M-rated movie I saw at a cinema was The Truth About Cats & Dogs. A lot of the time I lived in countries without that kind of ratings system.

7. Star Wars (orig. trilogy) or Lord of the Rings?
Lord of the Rings, no question.

8. Pacino or DeNiro?
DeNiro at the top of his game. Even now he's generally more entertaining than Pacino.

9. Titanic...did it suck or was it great?
SUCKED. Only movie I ever fell asleep in at a cinema. Haaate it.

10. What's your take on Cassavetes?
He's boring and slightly insane. Thinks a lot of himself, but I couldn't find much entertainment value in the few films I've seen of his.

11. Favorite John Hughes character?
Ferris Bueller! Not so much a character as an icon.

12. What movie gives you a boner (or makes you tingle)?
Y Tu Mama Tambien just oozes sexy.

13. What movie always makes you cry like the big puss you are?
I'm not really a crier, but I cried most during Return of the King. The 'I can carry you' scene made me cry every time I saw it for ages.

14. What's the furthest you've ever gotten in a movie theater? (i.e, second base...)
I don't go to the movies to get some, I go to the movies to watch a movie. Not that I've had much opportunity.

15. Speaking of sports metaphors, what's your favorite sports movie?
Mighty Ducks! I always compare every other sports movie to Mighty Ducks.

16. (a) Favorite... teen movie?
The Breakfast Club, although I have a long-held fondness for Empire Records and The Lost Boys.

(b)...Quentin Tarantino movie?
Pulp Fiction

(c)...Bill Murray movie?
Ghostbusters

(d)...romantic comedy?
Some Like It Hot. It counts!

(e)...gangster movie?
Can I say Some Like It Hot again? No? Uh, Goodfellas rocks my socks.

(f)...horror movie?
Scream is awesome.

(g)...made for TV movie?
What? Um, I don't even know. High School Musical, I guess.

(h)...director?
Alfonso Cuaron! And pretty much everyone else [livejournal.com profile] truffle_shuffle mentioned, plus Peter Jackson.

(i)...drug movie?
Trainspotting, I guess.

17. What movie have you seen already but will never, ever, ever watch again?
Buck&Chuck. Haaated it.

18. What movie are you embarrassed to really like?
I don't think I have any that I'm embarrassed to like. I'm not easily embarrassed.

19. What movie should be remade asap?
The best remake is of either an originally average film, or Hairspray, which is less a remake and more a film of the musical of the original, so it doesn't count.

20. What the F happened to (insert answer)? He used to be so damn funny!
All of them! Mike Myers, yes, but Jim Carrey had his moments back in the day, and how about Eddie Murphy? Steve Martin?

21. For the love of everything that's sacred, please someone stop (insert answer) from making another movie!
Adam Sandler.

22. What movie do all your friends love but you think is whatevs?
Titanic? (just for [livejournal.com profile] truffle_shuffle.) I am also the only person in the world who doesn't like Fight Club.

23. What movie do you love but all your friends think is whatevs?
I am disappointed in the lack of marked interest in The Goonies. Also, musicals. I don't seem to make enough friends who love musicals. Heartless bastards.

24. If you could hump/date/marry any movie character, who would it be?
Hump Indiana Jones, date Chaucer from A Knight's Tale, marry Sirius Black.

25. Best...movie....ever?
Lord of the Rings. Also, since they're all-time favourites that haven't been mentioned yet on this list, Singin' in the Rain and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang.

26. Book you wish would be made into a movie, and who would direct it?
Good Omens. I'm trying to think of someone British and...ooh, nevermind, Terry Gilliam.
