I forgot to mention. Half-Blood Prince? It gets worse.

This girl hates Gambon far more than he deserves. Hate the director and the writer, dude. Also, the cave scene and the Hogwarts fight are THE MOST CINEMATIC SCENES in all the books, why bother with all those stupid unnecessary changes? Clam shells? Dumbledore doesn't body-bind Harry, he just...hides? NO BATTLE IN HOGWARTS? WHAT? They also leave out Dumbledore's panic and Harry driving them on and just...EVERYTHING. Amycus and Alecto.

What made me REALLY angry, though - like, LIVID - is that first bit about Harry being surprised they can Apparate inside Hogwarts and then Kloves just...writes in an explanation. If you're going to DO it, don't put in a dumb line trying to placate fans because IT DOESN'T WORK. It's LAZY WRITING, and it's STUPID. AUGH. Is it SO hard to shoot them Apparating out of Hogsmeade? APPARENTLY.

Oh, something else that occurred to me: if Dumbledore doesn't know the ring was a Horcrux until he sees the memory, how can he be cursed from putting it on and destroying it? Is he just stupid? Are they taking the curse out? If so, how will Snape mercy-killing Dumbledore on Dumby's orders even work? ARE THEY TAKING THAT OUT? WHAT?

Promos from Nathan Fillion's new show 'Castle', which I am reluctant to be interested in. It just looks kinda boring so far.

Dom and Evi have been at the same things again, although there's very few images of Dom. There's some untagged ones here from [livejournal.com profile] mata090680 but nothing hi-res yet. The fact that Dom and Gael Garcia Bernal were both there gives me tingles, even though it's unlikely they even met.

All of this HBP news is really depressing and angering. And to think I was so excited see it in film form.

It makes you wonder if Harry and Dumbledore are even going to go on their big journey. Kloves instead probably just made them go grab some ice cream and then have a conversation on a playground.

Apparently, Castle has tested very well - by critics and viewers.

Dom!! I love how especially blue his eyes look.

YOU CAN'T APPARATE INSIDE HOGWARTS!!! HAVEN'T YOU READ HOGWARTS, A HISTORY? stupid stupid stupid

seriously, I'm not against changes in movie adaptations but this is just terrible, I really don't see the POINT of the changes

I have no opinion on Nathan's new show, but I'm still going to watch it because it's Nathan

Didn't you know?

Apparently all that hate is COMPLETELY deserved.

Because, you know, an actor makes 100% of his decisions. The director does nothing, asks nothing. Neither does the script.

I AM NOT LOOKING FORWARD TO HBP ANYMORE. Like at all.
:((((((((((((((((((

I fucking hate Kloves.

ok. books are almost always better than movie adaptations but they should at least try.

Gah. I fear for this film more and more each month. :(

I feel the need to leap to Michael Gambon's defence also.

Gambon is a good actor, he's not a fan, nor should he need to be, he's working from the material he is given, ie the SHITHOUSE STEVE KLOVES SCRIPT. Monkeys would do a better job, really, why do they keep hiring him. It's because one time JKR said she liked him because his favourite character is Hermione rather than the more obviously likeable Ron (which is clea from the dumbing down and dimunition of Ron's role in the five preceding movies)

I will be disappointed as usual then. I wish we were brave enough not to go, but we will, because we can't not go along and see what they've done. Being a fan is hard...

I know, right? I mean, that scene in the cave is SO cinematic, they didn't need to change a thing. Are they just dropping the Ariana story? I don't even know anymore.

From: [identity profile] green-queen.livejournal.com

Oh, really? Well maybe I'll give Castle a go then.

I KNOW. I like the little scarf thing he's got going on, and the beard. Super cute.

From: [identity profile] green-queen.livejournal.com

Also, fans are used to them fucking up the books, it's not like something that stupid would be the ONE THING that would tip us over the edge, so why throw in a stupid line explaining it?

Apparently it's tested well among critics and viewers *shrugs*

From: [identity profile] green-queen.livejournal.com

Oh, of course. It's not like Dumbledore being weirdly OOC has anything to do with the writer whose words he's saying. *facepalm*

From: [identity profile] green-queen.livejournal.com

I know, I think Gambon would be better suited to the role than Richard Harris was if they actually gave him decent material to work with. He's so bizarrely OOC in the movies.

Don't forget the fact that Hermione is, in Kloves's movies, a perfect creature who never does anything wrong or over the top and who Harry appears to be in love with.

From: [identity profile] leeshy-s.livejournal.com

I know!! They're cutting out so many things that are important for the next one. How badly are they going to screw with the plot of the final movies if they don't set up the important things.

From: [identity profile] hobbitofkobol.livejournal.com

I know, and it's like putting the emphasis on the screw-up.
