ETA: I was going to do a proper post but it got late again. I went to see Mitchell's musical tonight and he was by far the best thing in it. I love that kid.
Previously on Supernatural: THEY HUGGED! NO, REALLY! BOTH OF THEM!
I totally thought that was Dean's eye for a second. *facepalm* Is that...a GIRL hunter? Of course, she's dressed in next to nothing. Sigh. SCREAM!
SUPERNATURAL
Groped by an angel, hee. Guh, Jensen looks so hot just...you know, moving around. And breathing. I'm glad he told Sam about the whole angel thing. Jared's shirt is HIDEOUS. 'Yeah, you just did, Dean' lol. I like them arguing. For some reason arguing feels a lot more in sync than the...avoidy-ness, or something, from the last episode. Damn, Jared, your shirt is ugly but you are so huge. Sam is SO HAPPY about Dean being saved by angels, it's kinda cute. And sad, because he's talking about them being the good guys but it looks like they're going for Sam being the bad guy eventually. 'Vegas money's on yeah.' I can understand Dean getting creeped out because I think he KNOWS that it's about Sam as much as it's about him, whereas Sam's like 'Yay! Angels brought my brother back! Best day ever! My brother is SO SPECIAL omg. As are my arms.' PIE!!!!!!!
WHY IS THE IMPALA ALL...scratchy and dirty? She should be BLACK and GLISTENING and CLEAN. I want my car porn! Oh....SAM is driving! Wow. That explains the condition of the car. Hey, Courtney!Ruby. He just TOWERS over her. She's not much like the old Ruby. Poor Sam.
Woo, car yard! LOL Dean just gets in the driver's side straight away. HE FORGOT DEAN'S PIE. BAD SAM.
Okay, Sam's face when he saw Olivia's body was AWESOME. He's like :O x 1000. Y'think??
That is a NASTY death.
There's something very old-school action hero about Bobby's one-liners. So many lovely car shots in this episode! Dean fell asleep? Does that mean Sam was DRIVING?
DEMENTORS IN THE BATHROOM! Hi Henrickson. This would be more surprising if a) we didn't already know that the hunters knew the ghosts and b) you hadn't been SPECIFICALLY MENTIONED in the Previouslies. Dodgy flashback! Dean hero!shot.
So to up the ante on the usual Supernatural 'creepy little girl' trope they have...TWIN creepy little girls. Right.
Sam IS driving! Another lovely car shot.
Does Bobby ever do anything with those cars? He doesn't seem to have customers, or anything usually associated with cars, and he never seems to fix them. I mean, it LOOKS great, but is there a function? They must be strong creepy ghost twins.
Meg Masters! Still so pretty. Meg pretty much forgave them and helped them before she died anyway. It's clearly not really the ghosts. How can you get jumped by smoke? He really doesn't think he's a hero, that's what's simultaneously the best and saddest thing about Dean.
Are they Bobby's kids? Oh, so no. I kinda like this Meg. Iron, is it, Dean? Really? Thanks for telling the air that. Also, GUH I love his teeth.
They always have such conveniently good memories for symbols and pictures. I wouldn't've been able to draw it to save my life.
Oh, Dean, I love your face. DEMON PANIC ROOM. 'Bobby? You're AWESOME.' YES. The look Sam and Bobby exchanged over Dean's existential angst was so...sanctimonious and belittling. At least they didn't try to placate him, though, and the shots are pretty. No way, really, they rose witnesses from their graves for something called 'the rising of the witnesses'?! That OTHER Revelations. That's soooo Good Omens. JINX THEY OWE EACH OTHER A SODA. Another apocalypse! Such PRETTY boys.
Good Omens! If this season ACTUALLY went like Good Omens I'd be thrilled. Especially if Crowley and Aziraphale show up. Road trip! STAR TREK EXPERIENCE! 'You thought our luck was gonna start NOW all of a sudden?' JENSEN ACKLES YOU ARE SO HOT. DAMN.
Aww, Ron! I love Ron. He was in my most favourite episode. Also, his is the death that our boys have the LEAST to do with. That's all Ron, right there. WE DO NOT WORK FOR THE MANDROID. Memories, man. Dean really liked Ron.
Oh, Dean. Oh, Dean. Brother touching!
Now this is fun. A good old-fashioned ghost shoot-out. Salt rounds and spells. Nice catch!
Awww, sleeping Sammy puppy. Oh, Dean's boyfriend the groping angel is back! Hi Castiel. I'm glad they're going for a war approach rather than a fluffy clouds approach, even if Dean isn't. Ugh, their FACES. Okay, when he said 'Lucifer walks free' my first thought was of the cat in Cinderella. I hang out with kids too much. OH SNAP. 'You should show me some respect!'
OUR BOYS ARE SO HOT. I DO NOT LIE.
I don't mind them bringing in angels, even though I'm an atheist. I know the show can get preachy, but I like religious stories wherein humans are caught between what's essentially an ancient feud, and as long as they don't make ALL the angels too good (which isn't looking likely) and ALL the demons too bad (Ruby, for example) it will still be interesting. I feel like if there was just Good and Evil, it kind of takes away the importance of humans' decisions. I want Dean and Sam to find their own way, not be pawns in a giant battle. The show has its own mythology to uphold, and angels make sense as part of that mythology, but the minute the show starts telling me that I'm a bad person and Dean has to learn the error of his ways and become a straight-laced bible basher, I'm quitting. So far, I'm liking this arc.
ETA2: The only side I'm on is Dean and Sam's.
