I spent today almost entirely hanging out with Mitchell and playing Guitar Hero. I have completed the career on Medium, and done some on Hard, but Reptilia is going to be the death of me.
I saw my first episode of 'The Big Bang Theory' the other night, it was adorable. I loved it. Also, saw the new Chuck. I love how nervous Ellie was about the Awesomes coming to visit, and poor Morgan, Lester and Jeff. Jordana Brewster kinda reminds me of Kristen Bell. And, finally, Private Practice - I can't believe they gave Dell a kid and not more screentime. Although I suppose that saved me a little, because it's like the writers went 'Hey, you don't need those ovaries, do you? Because WE HAVE THE POWER TO MELT THEM.'
There's a cute Katie Cassidy (old!Ruby) interview with a fan over at
supernatural_tv. Interesting thoughts on this season.
Did I already linke this? Three Questions with Misha Collins.
The Supernatural-Buffy Cage Match: Very long meta about why Buffy, ultimately, is better than Supernatural. I am concerned about the lack of agency on Supernatural. They talk about the seasons becoming more shades of grey than black and white, but good and evil are still exceedingly well defined, and the boys seem to be more pawns than players in the game they're in. Everything is controlled by people outside them, or manipulated by outside forces - their lives have basically been determined by decisions made by their parents, or demons, or angels. When they do make decisions, the consequences are changed for them by people outside the main characters, kind of deus ex machina-style.
Plastic!Winchester Theatre 4.04.
Interview with Spike Jonze about 'Where the Wild Things Are', which I still can't wait to see.
Lost spoilers, including a rather redundant Dom snippet, although a sweet one in which Dom says 'precious' a lot.
Dr. Horrible days away from being released on DVD. MUST HAVE.
The other day I watched Wedding Wars
I found myself annoyed at this TV movie a lot because a) it's making light of something that I've been involved with a bit, so I found it more infuriating and saddening than funny, and b) it's not particularly well-made. Still, it does have Uncle Jesse kissing Simon Tam, which is worth the download time. The only time I felt any real emotion was when Eric Dane hugged Uncle Jesse at the wedding, although Sean Maher was adorable. But I mean, please invest so much of their lives into trying to make gay marriage happen, this seemed flippant.
