Oscar nominations! I'm rooting for 'Slumdog Millionaire' myself.

You know what I saw lately that pissed me off? I was watching an old episode of NCIS and the FBI guy was with his daughter at something called 'Your First Makeover'. The kid was probably about 8 years old, and in the background there were shots of people with their infant daughters. I find that disturbing, sexist, and grotesque. All that's doing is affirming to girls that their looks are incredibly important, and can be improved upon, before they're old enough to formulate their own opinions.

I like to pretend 'My Bloody Valentine 3D' doesn't exist. Seeing the name of it on my flist embarrasses me. I spend so much time defending Jensen's talent and he goes and makes this crap?

For those playing along at home, I just finished season 3 of 'The West Wing' and also re-watched 'In the Shadow of Two Gunmen', 'Noel' and '17 People' because I really like those episodes.

Hey, did we know Bradley Whitford is going to be in 'Cabin in the Woods'? And that whoever wrote that is a jackass who thinks Joss worked on Lost?

Supernatural spoiler from Ausiello. Can he HAVE any more guilt? Seriously, this is just ridiculous. Already Dean shouldn't be able to function has a human being.

A response to Starbuck: Lost in Castration.

David Fury interview. He's awesome. Hate the title. Not funny.

Harry Lennix interview.

PG Porn: Peanus. LMAO. Also, behind the scenes of Nailing Your Wife.

Season 3! Special Agent Sunshine! And those three you rewatched are three of my favorites. Every time I watch ITSO2G it reminds me why I'm completely in love with this show.

Now you're on SEASON FOUR! Woot! I've never been able to pick a definitive favorite episode for TWW but one of the contenders - "Evidence of Things Not Seen" is in s4 and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

That Twilight in 30 seconds video made me lol so hard. It's perfect.

I still can't believe he made that movie. I'm pretty sure he had better scripts at home. But you know, I will see it eventually.

Thanks for linking to my post sweetie ♥ *makes face just like Dom* (I think I'm gonna icon that image...I really love his expression)

Has anyone noticed how patronising and useless Glinda is?

I haven't really noticed, but mostly it's because I'm completely dazzled by her big-ass crown.

I posted a link about Bradley Whitford/Cabin in the Woods the other day...see? I guess you missed it. :(

Also, I totally agree with you about My Bloody Valentine/Jensen. Ugh. How am I ever going to convince people that he's amazing if all they see is that shit (and won't watch Supernatural because they still think it's crap based solely on...nothing?)

That Dirk Benedict article destroyed in five minutes years of fond childhood memories of the A-Team. Wtf, asshole?

I watched The Wizard of Oz today. Has anyone noticed how patronising and useless Glinda is?

Yes, she's absolutely ridiculous.

I love...everything in that post. I hadn't even seen that Dom picture!!! How did I miss that post?!?!?!

People have a built-in prejudice against sci-fi & fantasy-themed TV shows. It's like the people who think Buffy the Vampire Slayer is crap because of its name. At least there's no real basis for that, unlike thinking My Bloody Valentine is crap because it's a remake of an already not-terrific horror film.

Re: Wizard of Oz

LMAO. I'm actually quite impressed by how accurate that was at the beginning. That girl does a mean Judy Garland impression.

From: [identity profile] green-queen.livejournal.com

I was scoffing at her every time she appears. She's so full of shit, and she thinks everyone is below her. Also, I hate the line ;only bad witches are ugly'.

Another thing I noticed: Munchkin Land isn't so much a land as, you know, a backlot. That's their whole country. Glinda says 'the Munchkins will escort you to the edge of Munchkin Land' and they stop abruptly only a few metres down the Yellow Brick Road.

I didn't think it'd be too complicated, since the entire story has about 30 seconds of actual plot.

I think it's to do with timing, but he managed Ten Inch Hero, and that wasn't too bad, with the exception of the dumb-ass ending. Surely he could be doing SOMETHING that shows the world how much talent he has?? Also, I was watching an interview with him where he talked about how it was like pantomime, without a lot of close-ups, because it's in 3D. Jensen's best work is close-ups!!!

They're pretty icons! And I love it when Dom smiles like that :)

Re: Wizard of Oz

She's totally awesome. And I loved the Glinda impression too. That clip had me in stitches when I first saw it. X3;;

I actually like Special Agent Sunshine better than I like Gibbs. Although I don't know why everyone else was so attached to him, since we never saw him interact with any of them. I think he should've been around longer, and we should've seen CJ's stalker get caught, or at least glimpsed him once.

Yeah, the first two episode of season 2 are killer. Talk about your emotional rollercoasters. I think the scene where Josh shows up soaking wet with his poker face is my favourite West Wing scene so far.

I look forward to it! I'm still considering stopping after 4. I don't know if I can stomach watching what they do to Toby, or seeing Leo die.

Re: Wizard of Oz

The Glinda impression is funny, but less accurate. Also, Scarecrow and the Cowardly Lion were spot on.

Just feeding your TWW addiction ...

They're not the only ones. The writers messed with Josh, too. And Will. And CJ and Donna, to a slightly lesser extent. No one is quite the same. It was really very disappointing.

From: [identity profile] green-queen.livejournal.com

THEY MESSED WITH JOSH?

Now I REALLY don't want to see it :(

From: [identity profile] corellianjedi.livejournal.com

If I remember correctly (and I pretty much haven't seen any of season 5 since it originally aired... 5 years ago?) they stopped just short of having Josh completely lose his shit and his job. I distinctly remember looking at my parents and asking "Who is this man and where is Josh?"

I will warn you that season 4 ends in a cliffhanger. But if it is any consolation, the conclusion in the fifth season premiere is so hurried and anti-climactic that you can tell the new writers just wanted to get rid of Aaron's storyline so they could start their own.
