MEET SETH GREEN IN SYDNEY on Tuesday the 20th of October at 1pm. And say hi for me, cuz I can't go *sobs* I swear, I am never going to get to meet the guy.
Glee link dump:
Just One of the Guys - a Chris Colfer interview with Advocate I LOVE HIM SO MUCH.
Spoilery Mark Salling interview GUH I WANT HIM SO BAD. And another one.
Harry Shum is full of Glee. I think he's full of cute.
"Glee, Volume 1: Road to the Sectionals" DVD Details Announced! I can't believe they're going the mid-season DVD release route. Do they not make enough money already? Ugh. It makes everything so messy.
Cute article on Emma's (Jayma Mays) clothes.
Behind the scenes for Vitamin D.
LMAO in the boys' dance number Cory Monteith looks like he's having some kind of attack. Boy can NOT dance. I love him though. Also, is it just me or did the boys have it all over the girls? I think I actually cheered when Artie came out to rock the house.
Plot-wise, Terri is so irresponsible and so completely awful. I nearly busted a gut during Sue's journal, and I can't wait to see how she and Will co-manage the Glee club. Terri being at the school, I think, just showed her flaws to Will more clearly and I hope he's coming to realise how awful she really is. Emma is really starting to piss me off now - I think it's pretty reprehensible, agreeing to marry a man you don't even like, let alone love. I mean, everyone on the show does terrible things every now and then, but Emma is one of the few 'good guys' who isn't progressing at all. I don't like Ken at all, but I feel worse for him than Emma in this whole thing. She's being incredibly passive-aggressive, and why are her options Ken Tanaka, the married man, or nothing? Get out there, woman, you're gorgeous.
Getting to see Rachel finally figure out that Glee really is about being a team was nice, and I think it's interesting that it came out of this competition. I wish people would stop getting these kids drunk or drugged up, though, I think I find it less funny than everyone else (though Finn on the uppers was kind of brilliant.) I like to see Quinn becoming a little bit more sympathetic, too. Their scene together was fantastic.
Mercedes, on the other hand, was way less sympathetic and until she starts letting up on Rachel a little she's going in my bad books. I haven't actually seen her do anything remotely cool since approximately the second episode. Tina's gorgeous.
Dollhouse:
Here, have two incredibly awkward Eliza Dushku interviews: Good Day NY and David Letterman.
Tahmoh Penikett on stress, technology and being done with 'growing pains'.
Apparently, it's in danger of being cancelled. No! Really? Who knew?

NO EXCUSES. Also, I'm @green_queen on Twitter and I'm doing a bunch of "why you should #savedollhouse" posts, so add me there for those.
Ausiello spills - his usual spoiler dump, so spoilers for, y'know...everything, including Dom on Flash Forward yay.
Speaking of Dom, 'I Sell the Dead' comic to be released.
Mal's Morals: a Firefly essay.
Tauntaun sleeping bag. I actually cried laughing when I first saw it. SICK and WRONG and SO FUNNY.
Welsh yobs clobbered by cross-dressing cage fighters. HELL YES YOU WERE.
Icons: multi-fandom, Supernatural, LotR, multi-fandom including STAR TREK!, Glee, Supernatural & Twilight (
zombres, there's one there for you!)
Tonight I saw Mao's Last Dancer
I don't know if you guys got this outside Australia. It's about a Chinese dancer who defected to America when he fell in love with an American girl who looks a hell of a lot like Alona Tal but is actually the lead girl from Centre Stage, and Australian. Uh. He overcomes difficulties and dances beautifully.
This movie is sweet, but ultimately not all that memorable, which I think pretty much misses the point of what they're getting at. The dance scenes were absolutely incredible. Chi Cao, who plays the dancer, Li, as an adult, is sublime, just amazing. When he's dancing, anyway. When he's acting, he's sweet, but there's not a whole lot there. Which is really all I can say about the rest of the movie, with the exception of the moment when Li is reunited with his parents - it's the only really emotionally affecting scene of the movie that doesn't involve dance. I kind of loved Bruce Greenwood in it (in early scenes, even though I KNOW what happens, I was totally rooting for him to get with Li) but I think that's Star Trek bias playing its part. I kept wanting to yell "Punch it!" at the screen, even though he's completely different in this movie. And playing a Brit, bizarrely. There's only afew real Americans in this movie (and a couple of Canadians), and the obviously Australian actors kind of grated on me, especially when they were recognisable. Anyway, overall, it's a solid, enjoyable movie and better than I expected, but it's not an inspiring masterpiece.
