Why should Cookie Monster have to conform to human dietary requirements? He is a monster. Clearly cookies are his dietary staple. How do we know that vegetables are healthy for him?

I'm at my prac school. Feeling a little sick, a little sleepy, and a little apprehensive. Won't be home until late tonight. My life gets so busy as soon as I go on prac.

Yeah, dammit!
what do we want? All monsters dietary needs appropriately met without judgement!
When do we want it? After a consultation period and a staged implementation...

Is this still going on? I remember reading something a long time ago about the concern that Cookie Monster encourages kids to eat cookies and therefore be fat, or something, and I was pretty appalled at the idea of it. I mean, I watched Sesame Street as a kid; I don't eat cookies for dinner (ok, I have a few times, whatever!) and I didn't grow up to be obese, so...maybe parents should do the parenting instead of expecting a fucking MUPPET to do it for them.

Also, without the cookies, he's just Monster. Not nearly as fun.

"How do we know that vegetables are healthy for him?"

I'm just waiting to see the headline "Cookie Monster in hospital from parsnip overdose" now.

Also it is a pretty weird rationale, I don't think I've ever met an obese person who said they eat so many fattening foods because Cookie Monster does. At some point in your life you have to stop blaming the puppets.
