Favourite Harry Potter Characters
Five Movies That are Totally Mediocre to Average in Execution, Technically, But That You Unabashedly Love Anyway
I love that inspiration speech video, but I'm always a sucker for mash-up vids.
From:

1. The Zeppo
2. Once More, With Feeling
3. The Body
4. Conversations with Dead People
5. Restless
I would've put more season 3 in there, but I love the whole season probably more than any other episodes. The Wish and Doppelgangland in particular.
Top 5 Harry Potter Characters:
1. Sirius Black
2. Ronald Weasley
3. Luna Lovegood
4. Severus Snape
5. Bellatrix Lestrange, although this changes. I really only have 4 favourites.
Five Movies That are Totally Mediocre to Average in Execution, Technically, But That You Unabashedly Love Anyway
1. The Goonies - that kind of depends on how you define mediocre, though. I mean, the direction is pretty average, and the continuity is awful, but it has the best child acting and some pretty neat sets.
2. The Lost Boys (again, ok make-up but dodgy in a lot of other ways)
3. Rocky Horror Picture Show. I mean, who doesn't?
4. The Broken Hearts Club. It's my feel-good gay movie.
5. Dude, Where's My Car?

Top 5 favorite Supernatural scenes

1. The Hans Jensen interview (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OrbFKl9Sybk).
2. Supernatural Season 1 Gag Reel (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7KHDvQEI0aY). Others are funny, but this is still the best.
3. Richard Simmons on Whose Line Is It Anyway? (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CTxkxG3DF4k)
4. The cutest laughing baby EVER. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cXXm696UbKY)
5. Starsky & Hutch vid (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A6af1Vo9gl4) that I love so much that just listening to the song makes me grin like a maniac.
I'll do the others tomorrow.

1. Dean beating up the Impala at the end of "Everybody Loves a Clown". I know it's overused, but it's so powerful - Dean beating up what's ostensibly their home, the thing he loves most, and a reminder of his father - and Jensen Ackles conveys everything so brilliantly. It was one of the first indicators of just how damn good Jensen is. I was thinking about using Sam's death or Dean talking to Sam's body here, but I think this one was better.
2. The 'Renegade' scene at the end of "Nightshifter": perfect music, awesome camerawork and editing, just an awesome scene in general.
3. Sam wakes up and it's Wednesday, for the second time, at the end of "Mystery Spot". The first time I saw that episode I didn't like it much, but now it's one of my favourites just because it takes such an insane risk in that twist of Dean dying, really dying, at the end of the second act. This is one of the times when Jared really stepped up, and the look on Sam's face when he sees Dean again is gorgeous. Plus I love hugging.
4. Uh, even I don't think this should count, but: the first 'Carry On Wayward Son' montage, at the start of "Salvation". Perfect song for this show? Yeah, I think so. Plus it managed to put everything that was interesting up until then in season 1 into one scene.
5. I was trying to decide what I think the funniest scene in the entire show is, and I have to say...Dracula orders pizza in "Monster Movie". I love that whole episode, but I swear, in that scene I laughed so hard I nearly cried. Dean screaming in "Yellow Fever", the two perspectives on the bar scene in "Tall Tales", and the 'credits' in "Changing Channels" are very close contenders, though.
I don't feel like this is an accurate summary of what's good about Supernatural, and I've probably missed something. Oh well.

LOL I'm watching FlashForward, I just think it's stupid. I can't quite get into Fringe, so maybe I'll try that one from the beginning. I'm watching White Collar (Matt Bomer is win), I catch HIMYM sometimes on TV, and I watched season one of Dexter but didn't like season 2. For some reason Skins doesn't appeal to me, but I think Clare's buying the DVDs, so I'll probably see it after we've finished obsessing over Starsky & Hutch.

Long story short: watch more WW!
Other stuff: I truly wish you liked FF. I think it gets better every week, and last week's episode was, to me, on par with Lost as far as game changing and emotional destructiveness goes. I'm still sad about it. I loved the Fringe pilot, was only mildly interested after that for a while, and then suddenly the show got AWESOME and hasn't stopped. So I'd recommend giving it another go. Maybe you won't like Skins, but I do highly recommend it. It grows on you, even if at first you think every one of those kids is awful. (And at first they kind of are). If you didn't like season 2 of Dexter you probably wouldn't like 3 or 4. I thought season 2 was awesome, 3 slightly less so, and 4 is VERY MUCH SO. So.
...I don't know what else to recommend. lol.

I'm still WATCHING FF. I have an obligation, after all. It has Dom in it. I just don't care about anybody, and I still really don't like the idea of the show. There is something about the fate vs. free will thing going on that annoys me.
I think my problem with Fringe is that I haven't watched it properly from the start. I wouldn't mind giving it a shot. All kids seem awful sometimes, I know this ;)

5.
To be fair, the skit itself isn't that great. It's just the "arctic tern" bit that gets me every time. Backstreetboys?
4.
This one is actually a funny sketch. Wayne and Colin are particularly hilarious.
3.
Colin has to kiss everyone, Wayne is a singing bass, and Ryan hangs himself. Also, I love that they make the pretty boy be the girl. And Jeff at the end!!! Brilliant.
2.
THE CAT! I swear, it makes me cry from laughing so hard.
1.
RICHARD SIMMONS. STILL MIGHT BE THE FUNNIEST THING EVER.
Wow, that was way easier than I thought it would be. I guess I know my favourite Whose Line bits pretty well. Also I probably left some of the best ones out.
