8-Bit Dr. Horrible. AWWWWWWESOME.
Speaking of, Doc Horrible 2 is being written right now, say Zack and Jed.
Hugo Award nominees, of which Epitaph One is one of them. It should win. By a lot. Also the Streamys happened. Yay Felicia!
Tell me this movie doesn't look awesome.
Last night I saw Kick-Ass
KICKS ASS.
I would love to leave that as a two-word movie review, but I am too much of a nerd for that. I am having trouble with the fact that Hit-Girl is one of the coolest things I've ever seen in a movie because of the 11-year-old violence, but you forget about it...for a while, until she gets beaten up. Killing spree with a machete? Sure. Horrible swearing? Yeah, but so what? Meanwhile, Nicolas Cage is awesome in it, and Aaron Johnson is adorable. This movie is such a great idea and so much fun, but it doesn't hold back on the darker side of being a superhero - no minor boo-boos and inprisonment here, when the heroes get hold of people, they die. And it's awesome.

Then tonight I saw How to Train Your Dragon
WHY WERE THE ADULTS SCOTTISH WHILE THE KIDS WERE AMERICAN? It's just inconsistent! Almost everything else about this movie was awesome. It had a great ending that I actually didn't see coming, and the relationship between the boy and the dragon is adorable. The dragon reminded me of Puck. The love interest kicks some butt, too, and it looks great.

I also just got back from seeing Kick-Ass and am kind of torn about it. Most of it was legitimately awesome, but I'm still extremely disturbed about the 11yr old psychotic mass murderer. She was a completely awesome 11yr old psychotic mass murderer, but still.
