So Dell's dead. Why did they EVER have him on that show? They wasted him for YEARS and then kill him off? What the fuck ever, I hope he goes on a good show next year and kicks everybody's asses.
Chuck's been renewed.
My land comms are eating my brain, I am trying to put together picspams for
themiddleearth and
jjverse's Big Bang, as well as two fanmixes for the latter. Does anyone have any cracky Star Trek-related songs to share?
Director slammed for 'white-out' of legendary Gallipoli sniper Billy Sing.
Tonight I saw Boyz n the Hood
It had a lot of raw energy that was excellent, and kept it engaging. I thought Laurence Fishburne and Cuba Gooding Jr. were really good, as was Ice Cube. I think technically it was a little rough and the script could've been more subtle, but then I've never really been one for long philosophical speeches coming from people that don't suit them. It had great characters, though, which kept me going through some of the rougher patches. The 'Stand By Me' bits stuck out like a sore thumb for me, and made me want to rewatch that movie.

A few days ago I saw Iron Man 2
Okay, I want to start by saying that I love Tony Stark as portrayed by Robert Downey Jr. I love RDJ, but I really only find him hot as Tony, even when he's being a jerk like in this movie. (Which I really rather enjoyed, by the way - setting his asshattery against Sam Rockwell's was a clever move.) The movie looks fantastic, and there were some hilarious parts.
I loved Pepper's expanded and rather badass role in this movie. Gwyneth and RDJ have good chemistry (then again, RDJ has good chemistry with rocks), and I like how well she manages with things. I didn't hate ScarJo, but I didn't care much either.
I think the main issue with this movie is structure. The first Iron Man just punched you in the gut with the kidnapping and escape, so that you really felt the rest of the movie. From the off I thought opening with the baddie was a bizarre choice, and then showing us that Tony's being a dick before we find out why wrong-foots the audience from the start. Then they give the really rather awesome big baddie one big fight scene...and take him out of action for nearly the whole rest of the movie, before a kind of weak last showdown. What is that? He could've had real impact, Mickey Rourke does a great job, but it just sort of fizzles. The Rhodey arc was weirdly structured, too - I think we could've used a little more BFF time and a bit more insight before he stole the other Iron Man suit. I mean, it's Don Cheadle, it could've been really effective.
I love that they just called it "Iron Man 2" though. No bullshit long title, straight to the point.

....yeah.
Does anyone have Sabotage by The Beastie Boys, please?

Me too. I really hope he continues acting. I like his photography and I want him to do well with that but I need him on my screen.

THIS SO HARD. It's lovely that he's so artistic, but he's far too hot to stay behind the camera all the time.

THIS SO MUCH. I'm so glad he's now free to do something where he's actually appreciated and used. Shonda's BS answers made me so mad. Plus with the way he acted last night, he's bound to be getting offers. Broke my heart.
