I know I didn't post last night and I really wanted to do a nice big post tonight, but I have to go to bed.

Bah, so tired that I started out writing about today and saying it was yesterday. Actually yesterday I went out to Gungahlin and paid off my deposits, so I'm now $50 in debt until next Friday. Don't have ANY money until tomorrow morning and tutoring. Then I went to uni, Play into Film (where I discovered that nobodye else understood Woyzeck either) and then German Cinema (forgot my brick reading AGAIN). I talked to Catherine until my parking ran out, then came home, then went to Lea's with Ash and Shemane, which was fun.

I LOVE the new Angel and the Shanshu business. Spike and Angel's personalities are fascinating, I love the tension between them. I loved when Spike hugged Gunn and running off with Harmony, but most of all I loved the flashbacks and the fight. Brilliant. Obviously Julie Benz doesn't want to come back, and I couldn't care less. I've never liked Darla. I'm starting to really like Gunn, though. Lindsey looks fucking hot! Can't wait to see more of him.

Today I missed my first bus so I only caught the last 15 minutes of my Gender lecture before lunch with T&N and Melissa. Came home, then was going to drive to film club for Big Fish tonight.
Mum has lost her car key and has been borrowing mine. She took it with her. I tried calling her, her phone was off, and had to search the house of my father's mobile number. He says to catch a taxi. I had no money. He had some stashed so he said I could take that. Taxi shows up 10 minutes after I call, and I show up to the movie 15 minutes late, only to be told there were no seats left. Fortunately the president was kind enough to procure me one--right next to Misha. So I got to see Big Fish and Spanish Apartment (both excellent), then Tom drove me home.

Big Fish: I got really annoyed with the glowy effects on the flashback scenes, and I couldn't reconcile Albert Finney and Ewan McGregor as one character. But Jessica Lange and Alison Lohmann worked fine, and Jessica Lange looks just gorgeous. I really enjoyed it. I kept waiting for flashback sequences, but I didn't think the son was as bad as he was made out to be in the reviews. Am I going crazy, or was the little Indian guy one of the size doubles for Lord of the Rings?!

Spanish Apartment: Brilliant. There are a few techniques that don't work and I didn't like the main character (his MOUTH, eurgh), but the energy of the film and the supporting cast more than make up for it. Wait until the moment the English girl's boyfriend comes to visit, it is HILARIOUS. The cinema broke out into spontaneous applause. It got less stars at IMdB (only by .7) but I can't help feeling that it's a better film, even if it's not as good technically. I couldn't help feeling sad by the end, though. Most of the people in it are hot enough to rent it based solely on that ;) I'm surprised by how much of the language I understood and how many of the faces I knew. Anyway, it's fun, go see it.

Link of the Day is an actually good deathfic by [livejournal.com profile] tuuli1109.

I know the film is supposed to be called The Yank but I still can't help calling it Hooligans. Whatever it's called, there are more pics from the filming here.

His eyes are crossed! That's so cute!

Yanno, I'm a whore for soccer. Especially the English Premier League. So you see, if you're gonna blend soccer and Elijah into the one movie, well, let's just say I'm going to need to bring spare knickers to the screening.
