Oh, I must have missed that bit. I wasn't watching for some of it, I only watched the end where she kicked the Russians' asses and the bit at the start where she kissed Chuck goodnight.
They didn't objectify Linda Hamilton ('cause she would beat them up), but we got those weird shots of Yvonne putting on makeup & suchlike, & all the female employees (CIA operatives) in the BuyMore were wearing hella high heels. And then there was Olivia Munn. :/
Well, then it's totally valid for me to continue to love Chuck's mother. SHE IS SO AWESOME. I LOVE HER A LOT. I wonder when they're going to dispense with the wig, though.
The crazy high heels thing was something I noticed in Dollhouse too. I don't get it at ALL.
"sexy businesswoman shoes"? I think in some cases (like Dollhouse, but not like Chuck) it is a post-feminist thing... like, proving that women have control over their own sexuality, kind of? Showing they're MODERN women who will not put up with unwanted sexual bullshit, but that that doesn't mean they're unintersted in sex altogether.
Also, you know the adage -- Ginger Rogers did everything Fred Astaire did, only in high heels & backward.
I don't mind them, but I think that's because I walk incorrectly when I wear them. I tend to just sort of tippytoe, without putting much weight on the heel. And most of the ones I wear are boots, so they're not at all the same as stilettos.

I think the show jumped the shark for me at the end of season 2 :(

We're back to all the slo-mo body shots of female characters, though. Nice to know the CIA demands their workers wear mini-skirts and high heels, too.
