I probably won't update tonight, but here are two things I forgot to mention last night.
1. Lindsey is teh sex. I do not blame Eve one bit for being unable to keep her hands of him, esp. with the pretty tattoos. Spike + Lindsey and the homoerotic subtext is even hotter (whether you see is with Spike/Lindsey or Spike/Angel, I don't care.) I don't like that Spike is getting fucked around, but I love Lindsey so much I can forgive that.
Angel's dreams were SO FUNNY! And James got to smile a bit. He kinda looks elfin when he smiles. So cute. I love the random pearls and bear, and I love when Fred and Gunn wanted to hear Spike's heart beating.
The whole slightly off season 1 vibe with Spike is really fun, and Wesley and Gunn going to pressure Spike was very cool too. I still love Harmony.
All in all a brilliant episode--it furthered the plot but worked as a stand-alone, it was well-written, it even bought everything back to Numero Cinco with Angel pushing the mail cart. The demon parasite was soooo disgusting. I wasn't at all surprised to see Drew Goddard's name at the end of it. I love that man and want to have his babies.
2. While ice skating I was talking to Monica, a friend of the others'. Tom said I would become a famous director and he expected me to thank him at the Oscar speech. Later, Monica said one day when she was a millionaire she would be Tom a Paddle Pop because he bought one for her. He said "Random acts of kindness do pay off." I said "You're never kind to me, why would I thank you in my Oscar speech?"
He turned to me and said "I probably drove you there."
